Hello! I'm 18 weeks with my first and so excited! And I have the added excitement of being a yank in the UK! Does anyone know what the odds are of finding out the sex on the 20 week scan? Are most mothers (who want to know) able to find out or are a lot of babies uncooperative?

hi there welcome to BnB!

the technician was able to tell me at 12 weeks when I was pregnant w/ my son that it was a boy, of course she said she wasn't 100% sure but it looked like it was a boy and of course she was right. I know to be more safe they can usually tell the gender at week 18 and up. It really depends on what position the baby decides to be in when you get your U/S.

Hi and Welcome! By my experience I think at 16 weeks they can see very clearly the baby's gender.
