Well, Hello! I'm a newbie! I'm 16, due 18th January although it's early hours of 19th and no baby yet!
Anyway.. I was told about this forum via another and I seriously just need to rant!!!

Why is it.. when you go into town and you have a bag of shopping, wether it be a bloody primark bag or pissing harrods bag, you get called a "Benefit scrounger" cause you look young and you're heavily pregnant?!?!?!?!
Do these people not realise, My other half supports me!!!!! And I don't get any benefits what so ever. Oh apart from £12.64 a week..WOW that goes miles that does..!!!! Do these people have nothing better to do HONESTLY?!??!?!?!?!!!!!!!!! And if you're one of those people, on here to "Slag people off" then WHY DO YOU DO IT?!?

So judgemental before they even pissing know you! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

And, why do people, men mainly, have no manners?!
God..this all started the other day. In town, had a mothercare bag, yes it looked ramned, only because it had a steriliser in it and a few sale clothes. so this woman decided to stop, dead in her tracks, stare, tut grunt moan at her other friend and then say to me "Well... people who claim benefits should be shopping at charity shops, not mothercare. Mothercare is for ladys on maternity leave who work for the living" <----EXCUSE ME?! But when the fucking hell did you get told I was on benefits, and I don't shop in charity shops and maybe the mothercare was a one off. For all she knew, I could have had the pissing carrier bag given to me and was just using it!!!!!!! Now I have to admit, I do shop in charity shops. And I have got some of my baby stuff from them. Cause moneys tight. But for once. Other half got a xmas bonus, we splashed out abit. He told me to buy the steriliser I wanted (Bear in mind it was £11.99- not exactly the bomb) and told me to go shopping and buy some luxuries that we simply havn't had!
Then to make it worse.. I got on the bus home. The bus was full. I managed to get a seat then an old lady got on, so I gave her my seat. She couldn't stand on the pavement nevermind a moving bus. Out of respect and manners I gave up my seat for her. When I could have just sat there cause "Im pregnant" So anyway.. this bloke was sat down a few rows back with his bags on the seat so I said excuse me, can I sit there please? He said "You didn't pay to get on the bus, so no." (Cause I had a day ticketttt!!!!) So I politley said "You paid for one seat mate, move the bags please" he refused. EVeryone gawped at me. So I decided to make a nice loud announcement to the WHOLE bus, about how i'd given up my seat to the old lady, and it would be great, if someone who could stand up better than me, could give up their seat. Guess what.. NO FUCKER DID! The bus driver had to stop the bus, and say "I'm not driving anywhere else til someone gives her a seat. Shes obv pregnant, now someone give her a seat or you'll be here all day" Needless to day... I got a seat! Offered by.. 30? maybe more people! :D
See I wouldn't have been to assed if the bus took 15min but it takes over a hour and half so I couldn't have stood all the way!

Sorry...if you've actually read all of this. Thanks! Just need 2 get it off my chest. ******* MEN!

OMG that sucks... I'm sorry to hear that people are being so ridiculously rude to you.

Omg how rude are some people! jus because your young and are preg or have a baby dnt mean you claim anymore benefits than an older person would, i kno i wnt be aither as i will get maternity pay and support from the babies dad. some people are jus to kean stick their noses in, without realising tht we prob actually get exactly the same as what they do!
And as for the bus i would have done exactly the same.

Hope baby makes an appearence soon hun!
:hugs:
The bus thing seems to be a nightmare for loads of people. I don't really get it, how hard is it to notice someone's pregnant and give up their seat?? What problem do people have with that? At least you were the bigger person by giving your seat to the old lady in the first place.
I'm thinking I've still got all the horrible comments and crap to come, as I'm only 15 weeks I'm not really showing that much so nobody really notices but if anyone does say anything I will be telling them exactly what I think of them straight back!!
Hope things get better for you hun! And welcome :)
xx

Omg :argh: i cant stand no* eds like that! am 16 an pregnant too, not as far as you like but because I've already got a quite a biggish bump, the amount of people who stare at you and tut as if your rubbish, because your 16 and pregnant!!

It doesn't mean all people under 16 and having babies are on benefits for all them tw**s knew you could have had a job or anything, well you know what i think .. :finger: to all the fuckers who think there better than everyone else and think were a disgrace, who gives two f***s.

Hope baby makes a arrival soon, good luck xxxx

Thankyou everyone, it just pisses me off so much. I mean i wouldn't mind if the bus was full of old ladies/men who couldn't stand. But the bloke with the bags was just a plain ignorant ass! Bad manners proper riffle me! I ALWAYS give up my seat for elderly, disabled ect. GRRR! I'm getting uncomfy now.. 1 day overdue... :(

Firstly welcome to the forum and hope your LO comes soon, I understand what your saying completely, I'm actually 24 and get old people saying to their friends " I wonder if she is still with the dad" which annoys me, I'm married to him but its got nothing to do with them, and they say it so loudly aswell, pain or what, and don't worry there is plenty of teen mums to be on this forum and none of them get judged by us, we are all here for the same reason x

Thankyou :) I hope he arrives soon. Can't be doing with this! Not for much longer anyway. It doesn't help I have a pink phone! They just think "Idiot" pink phone on benefits pregnant young slapper. The only reason I have a pink phone is because it was my auntys and she gave it me as I had no phone and needed one when I was so close to my due date! Incase labour started in town :D

At the end of the day you're going to have the most wonderful thing in the world in a few days and nothing a few narrow minded dickheads have to say will change that. Good luck with your baby & welcome

I hate people who think they have the right to judge others, especially when they no nothing about you!

I was working...quite clearing Working! (in asda uniform..pretty noticable!) and an old man started on me because its apparently ''me and my type of people'' that cause the reductions in his pension!! Then an older lady i work with got onto him n told him I worked for my money and had a fully supportive partner and he said "pfftt...theres a first for everything then" before walking away. Sheer cheek!!

Hey hunni welcome  hope baby makes an appearence soon!!!
I know how you feel just try and ignore them xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Hello :hi:

Welcome to Baby and Bump!

I hope LO doesn't take too much longer to arrive!

I am sorry you have encountered some awful people, the only thing I can say is ignore them - no one has the right to judge you or tell you what is right or wrong, until they lead your life and know the facts then perhaps they can comment! :hugs:x

I hate people like that so judgemental - it makes me sick for all they know you could of worked and have more money than they have people are too quick to past judgement. Half those people are probably in council houses and for all they know your mum could have her own house. lol just makes me laugh.

Regarding seat on bus thing Im 22 years old and 27 weeks pregnant and still dont get offered a seat and its very noticible that im pregnant it just makes me sick.

Hope baby comes soon hun and everything goes well with birth x

people are so rude.

they'd be the first to complain if they were pregnant and nobody would give them a seat.

how did it go baby came i'm assuming?

xx

i hate people like that!
last year i broke my foot and was on crutches couldnt afford taxis to get to work every day so i got the bus.
its always chocker by the time i get on it anyway but i thought 1 person at least would budge for me bearing in mind i wasnt steady on my feet. not one bugger moved an then i clocked this man... say late 40's camped out with a briefcase next to him an holding his broadsheet newspaper across the two seats, so i stumbled over with crutches in one hand. and said "excuse me" refering to him to shift his briefcase and arms holdin the massive newspaper.
"i dont think so young lady, my briefcase is very expensive and its not going on the dirty floor to be covered in gum" i booted off few expletives followed by shift your pompose arse now. grrrrrrrrrrrr i h8 people ykno.
its only gonna get worse now am pregnant.

Hi hun

Welcome to bnb. Hope your well? Sorry to hear of your problems- i have had that quite alot as i was 16 when i had my 1st and i am 26 now with 5, (all planned other than 1st ) my poartner and I both work to support us all(not to say its wrong if you don work!!) and people alwasy think if you havea few kids ur on benefits. It nobodys business but yours and people should not b so assuming. anyhow jus try to be calom and say to them politely that your partner provides for you, i would ask them where they get their income to see how it felt. anyhow by now you prob have your lo in your arms and are melting!!! good luck xx

OMG how rude of those people!

Its amazing how horrible some people can be isnt it!

theyre probly just jelous of ur LO

x

How bloody rude!!! Do know what everyone complians about the young people of today but i reckon the oldens need to take a good hard look at them selfs!!!

HOws the baby?

i no axactly how u feel ma sis is 8 months preg n she 18 n im 19 with a baby on the way n we have had so many dirty looks 1 i had to say something n i went craxy felt sorry for the girl that got the end of me, jus at the end of the day, they dont no u, u no u and u no tha ur not and be proud of it there is nothing wrong with people being on benefits if they are preg and dont have any other finacial support, i think that people look down on us young ones and think that we are a waste of space, we are making the next generation and when they if they fail then they can be a judge and begrude us untill then they shud keep there eyes to themselvs, they obviousily have nothing better to do then look at what they seem is bad in the teens of today.
