Newbie to the group

Hey there. Thought I would come out and look for some support on our uhm... "journey". 5.5 years ago we had a daughter, 2 years ago we miscarried her baby sibling. aand here we are still trying, waiting for tests, and wondering what on earth is going on :O
So far i seem to be ovulating, my husband's sperm is "okay" but not super, and a few days ago I had my HSG which showed my tubes were open. So we're waiting, again, for the next test whatever that might be.
Any info on what comes next, tests, medications or otherwise? Thanks!

Hi Goldee I assume you are having fairly regular cycles, have they done 21 day bloods, to check you are ovulating?

Purely my guess, I'm thinking you could end up with a very unhelpful "unexplained" diagnosis which really means we know something isn't working but we don't know what. Which probably means trying clomid to see if it will help your eggs if that fails IUI or IVF.

Hi there, my cycles are fairly regular, and yes my dr at my appointment today has prescribed clomid, and has referred me to a infertility specialist in the city. I'm 26. How well does clomid work for the dreaded 'unexplained' fertility? I've also seen that it can reduce uterine lining and cm though :/

Clomid works by boosting hormones and hopefully boosting egg quality. It's a cheap noninvasive drug to try. People do get success with it. Its often taken for 6 mths.

At 26 you are still young and should find something that works for you.
