Newborn clothes ?

I dont believe that it is bad luck to buy baby stuff when ttc, not to sound bad but if something is going to happen then it will happen. Buying stuff can not physically do anything to you.
When i was preg with my first baby there was a woman in my work who kept worrying my by saying things like 'you should not tell anyone or buy anything till after 12wks' and it made me really stressed but loads of people kept telling me not to worry and made me see sense. I went out and got the travel system i had wanted at 8wks pregnant!
I find it hard to resist buying things now ttc #2, after having a little boy already i find im drawn to pink!! wishful thinking i guess :haha:

I think if anything it's good luck. After all it's amazing what a positive attitude can do and seeing the baby clothes every day makes me happy and excited !

i actually have not bought anything baby related yet, but wouldn't really be opposed to it. i guess i'm so crazy worrying about metformin/pcos/work/nursing school/charting that i don't really thing about buying baby stuff...but next payday, i might be purchasing some and stashing it away :blush: :happydance:

i totallly agree with you, i have stopped buying baby stuff untill after xmas then i will get a few bits each month might aswell spreads out the cost :)

Oh god, I have got my OH to start buying stuff now !!! We'll be skint by xmas !

My mum knows we're ttc, and bought babys first outfit :) thats all we have at the mo but after xmas definitelu gonna start buying bits and bobs xx

I've got a few little bits, cot blanket, hooded towel, rattles, soft toys etc in a box under the bed.

Hubby is much worse than me though - I practically have to drag him away from the nearest Mothercare or Babies R Us when we're out shopping!

I dont normally believe in bad luck from things like this but since the pram entered the house we have had loads of bad things happen to us and around us :( but it is probably just coincidence!!

When I found out I was expecting my other children I started buying straight away, we had all the big things before the 12 week scan lol so i'm not normally a superstitious person and have walked under ladders without anything bad happening :rofl: I just can't shake the feeling I tempted fate this time by buying before being pregnant and it's stopping me from buying anything I see (I do look.....all the time:haha:) and have even missed out on fab bargains because of it :cry:

i saved everything from our daughter in the attick... then mice took over GRRR..

but im scared to buy anything might not ever happen :( also not sure time of year baby be born so some things might be useless :(

i feel the same about time of year, so i've just got baby gros and vests, blankets, bottels, sterilister and towels etc etc, and it's all unisex so no worries there. i'm terrible. getting so much stuff :rofl:

hahaha :) im, just scared wont ever happen :( x

You can't think like that Gem, don't admit defeat. Persitance is essential. It will happen for you, one way or another, i'm sure of that. When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

i love that poem! i used it so many times throughout my life and have shared it with others. there really is a lot of truth to it. :thumbup:

Aww lovely poem. I get all the little things I've brought, out every day just to look at them, just can't wait until I have a little one to wear them <3

I couldn't resist, I've decided I'm going for this on ebay :cloud9:

It'll be the only thing I've brought if I win :blush:
