Newly pregnant and scared!

Hi all,

I had a MMC in december 2009. I have a 3 year old already. I am now 4 weeks pregnant. I am so scared after having a MMC. The days are going so slowly. People say to relax but i can't!! Does anyone know if the chance of MC is higher with you have had one already? I am too scared to put my hopes up that i will actually have a baby at the end of this pregnancy..

First off, congratulations on your new pregnancy. It's fabulous news. I don't think there's anything anyone can say to take away the worry but this is a great place for support. Congrats again.

The odds are if uve had one MC u can go on to have a healthy pregnancy the next time around. I'm sure you'll be fine I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and I'm still worrying myself silly over it. Congratulations!

Iv you have had 1 Miscarriage the risk is no higher, its the same as if you never had one.

Im 9 weeks pregnant ( i think ) and each day is very slow, i crnt wait till im past 12 weeks and having scans and start to get a bump

There rele is nothing else we can do but Relax and look after ourselfs.

Just think positive, i like to say to myself " i will have this baby "

I had a MMC in July/Sept 2009. I also have a 3 year old. I am now 23 weeks pregnant and everything so far is looking normal.

The hardest days were the first few months. Since I've been feeling the baby kick, it has got easier as it is so reassuring to feel him/her move.

Just take a day at a time. How I got through it was to tell myself that unless I knew definately that something WAS wrong then I would assume everything was okay. That worked to some extent but there were still times when the worry and anxiety would eat away at me.

The first few weeks really dragged but I've made it this far and am now more hopeful of holding my baby. I'm wishing you a healthy pregnancy.

Congratulations!

I know relaxing is out of the question but try and find some aspect of this pregnancy to enjoy!

I've have 1 mmc a year ago next Tuesday and I'll be 17wks on Monday and feel a very active little one more and more. I had 2 early mc. The Dr's say your not apt to have another mc

It's great that there is so much support on here from other women in our situation. I had 3 m/c's last year, and am now 5 weeks. It is the hardest thing ever!! Having some symptoms last couple of days is reassuring, but it sure is a long winding road

Hi Sue,

I also had a MMC which we found out about the day before xmas eve 09, ended up having a D & C on 7th January.

And yesterday found out I'm pregnant again... so very excited, but so very very nervous like you....

Glad I'm not the only one, here's hoping everything will be ok this time. I'm going to the doctors today and I'm going to ask if I cn have an early scan at about 7 weeks... fingers crossed he will say yes!

Hiya,
Thought i would put my experience!
I had a mc august 09 and a month later found out i was pregnant again and i was terrified. I phoned the midwife and she booked me in for some early scans which made me feel abit better.
I am now 28 weeks with a little girl. I was always worrying but its eased up since i can feel her moving.
I hope all goes well.
