Next size teat.

Hi my lo is 9 weeks this week. I bought the next stage teats last week. I was a bit hesitant at first as they said 3months+ on them but he has been fine with them and isnt trying to work as much to get milk out.

Hope this helps x

LO has been on size 2 teats since about 2 weeks old - he was struggling before and not feeding well at all, they made such a difference to him and he feeds lovely still x

Hey hun - Around 8 weeks, you will know if LO isnt ready, she will gag and spit everywhere, she may spit a bit to start with when she is ready but as long as shes not gagging stick with it and she will soon get the hang of it - Maybe give her an oz less than usual as I found my LO got a bit of a belly ache from drinking too quick to start with xx

i'm scared to rty but it takes her forever to eat 2 oz. not sure if i should try or not

Dont be scared, nothing bad will happen hun and you will be so chuffed with how quick you can get milk down her - It started taking me over an hour to get my LOs bottles down her so I went up and then she started finishing her bottle in about 15 mins - Its great :) xx

i'll pick some up next time i am out. i have a few diff bottles so i'll try one brand 1st

I use doctor brown bottles and it says to change to number 2 at 3 months.. i tried at 10 weeks she still couldnt manage.. tried again at 12 weeks and she managed fine..

we went to the next size for 6months+ in the last few days (NUK) as LO was getting bored with the 3 months (he was on newborn at hospital, but got so discouraged that we moved him to the 'next' size and was released the next day as it was his feeding that was the issue...growl), so we're on the next next size, at almost 4 months....

best wishes

my LO will be 12 weeks on wednesday and i decided to switch up to size 2 teats today. i should have done it about a week ago but was a bit hesitant. she was taking about 30 mins to drink up to 3 - 4 ounces and then just giving up on the last 2 ounces and would refise to take it even though i knew she was still hungry. also she was wriggling quite a lot and kept turning her head from side to side through the whole feed and occasionally letting out a wee wimper. Today we have had no problems. LO just took to the new teats with ease and is now finishing her 6 oz feeds within 20-25 mins. couldn't be more chuffed. If you think your little one is ready, just give it a go. You'll know if they are or not once you have tried :)

Just went from size 1 to 2 teats today (6 weeks) - they're labelled as from 1 month+ for Avent but I'd assumed they were 3 months+ and forgotten about changing up until now.

No problems - the bottomless milk pit took it all in her stride.
