Does anyone know how long I need to leave it before ttc number 2 to still be entitled to full nhs maternity leave pay? Thanks in advance to those who can help! X

Don't actually know, but I went back to work 3 months pregnant and got the full maternity pay for my second maternity leave if that helps any? :flower:

I believe that when you're on maternity leave its still classed as full employment as you accrue your holiday entitlement so it's the same with maternity pay. I found this if it helps https://www.maternityaction.org.uk/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/pregnantonmaternityleave.pdf

you need to have been employed for 1 year, 11 weeks before your due date. i missed it by 13 days, totally gutted!!

I can't find anything that actually has it written down in black and white (annoyingly) but I would also have thought that as you're still considered to be employed by them and are still entitled to your other NHS benefits that you could take a second maternity leave fairly quickly. You might just have to go back for the 3 months after your first as that's part of the terms and conditions of your current maternity leave.

Take a look at your own contract of employment and handbook (or intranet if you have one?) it should detail it all out there!

I had maternity full year and I got pregnant while on it my second baby was due 2 days after my first maternity ended and I got full second maternity leave
