So I don't really know who to ask as my other half doesn't seem too concerned, but I have never met anyone who sweats like he does! During the summer when we first met I noticed frequent sweating but it was a very hot summer and so it didn't really stand out to me. But now he lives with me, which obviously means we are always sharing the same bed.

He blamed me at first, saying it was me sweating on him but if I go to bed later then him when I climb in I notice he is already soaking! It's horrible the bed sheets need changing daily and it smells! I swear it's gotten worse.. He rarely drinks but does smoke how ever and suffers from heart problems. He was born with holes in his heart, I recollect him saying some times he wakes up not being able to breathe, he don't snore but I have too noticed a heavy breathing which sounds like he is sometimes holding his breath. He won't go to the doctors unless it is serious or I tell his mother haha.

Seriously though has anyone here ever experienced anything even similar because I don't know anyone personally who has. I have already tried no duvet and he just moans that he is freezing, so I just leave windows open with no luck!

If it's always been like that, I wouldn't worry too much but I would try and convince him to see the doctor if it's possibly down to his health issues. I'm not sure whether smoking could affect it but it'd be worth checking as any reason to help him quit would be a good thing, in my book :)

If it's a new thing and if you mean proper night sweats rather than just being sweaty (the difference is big - with proper night sweats, if you woke up to it you might wonder if you'd wet the bed!), get him to the doctor as it can be a symptom of an underlying condition that needs treating. It sounds like it's an ongoing thing so I wouldn't worry too much, but if it is new and the sweats are drenching, get it checked out.

I would say if he has always had night sweats and no other symptoms then maybe not to much to worry about ...but if this started not to long ago then I would see a Dr just to be safe. Night sweats can be signs of other health problems especially if he's having other symptoms as well..go get checked
