nn for Meinir?

I know a lot of Meinirs but they use their name full. Any ideas for nn? It comes from the words main+hir so Hir maybe? Mei comes to mind first, but it sounds like May, so it would be like the baby's name is May, which isn't. Plus in Wales mostly Meirions shorten their name that way but it's a male name So Mei is not a choice
