I know it would be normal for me not to get my period back this soon if I were still breastfeeding, but I was only able to keep that up for three weeks. SOOO...it's been nearly 8 wks since I stopped breastfeeding and I STILL haven't had a hint of the witch showing up. Making me nervous (don't know why considering I had a tubal done at the time of my C), but not sure if I should worry or not...maybe my body is just REALLY messed up from the girls. I think I had my period back at about 6wks with my first daughter, but that was nearly 8 years ago...What do you ladies think?

It might just take a bit longer. Your hormonal load with twins was outrageous so you body might need longer to adjust.

It could just be everything going back to normal but if your worried go to the doctor.

Hi love, I BF for 3 months, and got a period 6wks after giving up completely. I had slowly cut down on BF and expected this would kick start a cycle, but it didn't until I had stopped altogether.

After my prem daughter I BF for 6 months and had my first period 4 months after she had been born. My point being that there seems to be no set rule - with second periods came whilst BF, with twins it didn't.

I was told it can take months for AF after childbirth, gues it depends on age, birth experience and tiredness/fitness levels etc. It's such a finely balanced thing. I'd give it another few weeks then perhaps go to GP just to confirm all is ok xxx

I BF for 4 weeks and period came when the boys were 11 weeks old - I was panicking expecting a BFP with triplets or something. BUT after that 11 week wait I bled for 4 weeks - jee thanks

All that worrying...she showed up this morning!! sssshhheeewwww....Vicky...that is EXACTLY what I was worried about!! haha...

How timely this thread is~! I'm also waiting for visit from Aunt Flo after giving up BF's when the boys were a month old (9 weeks ago). No sign yet and am also starting to imagine flutters when lying in bed at night

Have got an appt with my obgyn next week to get an IUD fitted, am secretly looking forward to the scan to make sure there's no surprises in there!
