No boy parts yet means girl??

I wonder if this is one of those lovely language perks of the Japanese.

I had my scan today and the doctor said our baby doesn't have a penis yet.

On the ultrasound it was pretty clear that there was no boy parts but the doctor was really reluctant to 'Confirm' that it was a girl.

I asked my buddy that has 2 boys here... and even though they were both OBVIOUSLY boys from really early on, they wouldn't confirm them until like 34 weeks.

I think part of it has to do with the Japanese tendency to not want to say yes or no for anything. So I think a 'probably' from a Japanese person is a pretty solid 'yes'. lol

i had scan at 17 weeks, lo willy was HUGE! couldnt mistake it

they say yet cos they cant be 100% altho sounds like there 90% sure its a girl

Ahhh!!! That's it if she says another not yet on next scan I am buying girly clothes.

You too!!! What is with this language politeness thing.I thought that applys only in general life not in medical field. Grrrr... anyways, since i didn't see the potty shot properly i will wait til next one before i go shopping.

I am definitely not waiting till 34 weeks to find out. Moreover, I won't be here till then. Going to try and pressure her to give atleast percentage.

This morning The doctor said "Seems like a girl... I don't see a penis yet". So I'm in the same boat as you lol but the picture looks like a girl to everybody so I'm going to cautiously go with girl
