Hi, I am a first time poster on this board. My daughter will be 6 tomorrow and still soaks the bed everynight. I have been told countless times by her dr not to worry and I never get mad at her for it but, I am SOO done with buying sposie diapers all the time. They leak and are just too expensive. She doesnt feel wet enough in them to wake her up when she gets the "I'm wet sensation". I bought my last pack last month and have been struggling ever since with washing her bedding and its getting tiring. Not to mention that she is practically begging me to give her back her night night diapers (thats what she calls them). I made it clear to her that I am not buying them anymore. I came here looking for some suggestions, if any. She will be 6 tomorrow and is 47 lbs on a good day. Tall but somewhat skinny. Is there anything someone can suggest that will work for a HEAVY wetter. I have looked all over for trainers and I just dont think they will hold up at night. Thank you for you help.

Some work at home mums make cloth nappies for larger children and adults. I know Nappies by Minki do (they're in the UK, I'm not sure where you are). They do one type that are suitable for up to age 7 - https://www.minkinappies.co.uk/index.php?cPath=34_21 and they also do nappies for up to adult size in their 'continence care' section - https://www.minkinappies.co.uk/index.php?cPath=57&osCsid=400fe459034fd682473dee1ed251ceab.

Thanks Rachael, I am in the United States. I didnt know this was outside the US. I am not sure what the prices are as I dont know how to convert them to US dollars. Thanks for the links. Is there anyone else that has an older child that still has issues making it through the night dry and how do you deal with it? Thank you

I use Fuzzibunz lrg on my toddler hes just under 40lbs and a chunky child but we will easily have him in them for quite a while as hes not on the largest snaps yet and you can put whichever boosters you like in them to adjust absorbancy, ive also got an xlg one with no boosters which i could sell you as i dont think i'll need it as ive found other cloth that fits him well enough for now and i hope he will be dry soon,

https://www.clothdiaper.com/PRODUCTS this site has toddler size prefolds and large bummi wraps that go above the 40lb mark this might be the best system for you ( honestly if shes a lil uncomfortable at night the its more likely she will train faster for you and all night diapers are bulky anyway even on babies you can add folded hemp or bamboo boosters into the prefold/wrap combo easily enough

If you are in the US you can order from the FB seconds store. I have ordered from them and honestly can't tell what the defect is and it's nice saving money. https://www.fuzzibunzseconds.net/store/

Cotton Babies carries a lot of diapers as well and they are US based.

Have you checked for bladder infections. My sister wet the bed well past 6 and it took a long time before a dr found out it was due to an infection. Once it was treated she stopped. It's great that you aren't getting mad at her, this was something my mom was not successful at and it was the hardest part for my sister. :)

The nice thing about cloth is that you can put additional boosters inside for extra absorbency! I really like the premium Joey bunz ones as they are thin but absorbent.
