Hey,

I had a difficult miscarriage that started in August and didn't end until September after two rounds of Misoprostal, a hemorrhaging incident and finally a D and E in September. I still have not gotten my first period and I'm getting a little worried to the point that I am thinking my baby maker might be busted. I am only 28 and desperately want another child in October of 2016. Any thoughts or advice? I'm seeing my OB next week but I think I could use a support network to help me through some of this as I am still dealing with overwhelming at time, feelings and emotions.

TIA!!

I'm sorry for your loss. :( I don't have any advice but I just wanted to offer some support. :hugs:

I miscarried on October 15. I also had some crazy hemorrhage two weeks later, but thankfully didn't need a d and c. I never stopped bleeding, although the flow did get light, it's heavier now. Wondering if it might be af out still pregnancy stuff working its way out. :/ I thought I was having a long wait, I can't imagine how frustrated you must be. I know you're seeing your doctor next week, but have you seen her before? Did she give you any ideas about what may be going on? I know unfortunately many women take a while after miscarriage to get their cycles back in sync. Sometimes women take some supplements that helps their cycle to come back. I can't remember them off hand, I can try looking again. But I don't think your baby maker is broken. :) I hope you get some good answers from your doctor.

I have seen my OB for a follow up after the surgery. He said that it might take two or three months for my first period to come around but it hasn't happened yet. I have had a few occasions where I get crampy but nothing beyond that.

I went to the OB yesterday. She put me on progesterone to kick start things. I hope this works!

Hang in there! My case is a lot like yours. MC'd in August, things went horribly wrong, got a D&C late September, didn't have AF until November (and my hcg count was STILL positive at the time).

Fingers crossed that the progesterone does the trick for you. The docs at my clinic told me that it was pretty normal not to get AF for 3-6 months after a D&C, though it does happen faster for many women.

Good luck hun and i'm sure your baby maker is fine - just recovering. Af stands for 'Aunt Flo', in other words, your period. x
