Norethistorine and Clomid TTC #1

I dunno, fingers crossed, I started using my clear blue fertility monitor today and fertility came up high, but I have been reading up about clomid and CBFM and I should get more high days than normal before peak ovulation so as I'm only on CD 8 I'm gonna give it a few more days before I test again.

I didn't realize you had to take norethisterene again to kick start period, I think I just figured the clomid would do that lol....I have a lot to learn!

Good luck this month, The higher dose might be the key I'll keep my fingers crossed for you x

well when and if the clomid makes me ovulate il have periods but cos i didnt ovulate i had take the morthistrine thanx hun trying be positive but so scared of it not working even if i just ovulated this month be happy x

Well it's cd 18 for me and still no peak, just high fertility status on my clear blue fertility monitor >.< I'm getting really nervous that its not gonna happen at all

hey huni how are you what dose are you on coud be you need dose upping but high fertilty on monitor got be good thing?

Hiya, I'm on 50 mg, will be on 100mg if the 50mg doesn't work this time.

It's CD 20 for me now and still no peak, I read that clomid can make you have high but no peak on CBFM if you don't ovulate.

I wonder how long I wait before I know it hasn't worked?

Meh, feeling rather pessimistic about it all at the moment.

How are you getting on hun?

hey i took my last clomid for this cycle today not sure when to do ovulation tests :/ no idea if its worked this time. really hope it has x

hiya, im on my 2nd month of clomid...well i took 3 cycles last year but i dont count that!

i didnt ovulate on 50mg, but i did on 100mg.

im currently what i think 18dpo....no AF though for the past 3 days my boobs have killed, but been having AF type cramps for 2 days so dunno whats going on.

too scared to test because dont want to see bfn!

i also have pcos, and am overweight. had an hsg in january which unblocked my tubes!

I'm worried the weight is effecting my chances, so I have been eating healthy and excersizing my backside off to lose the weight! Blooming hard work though.

Hiya, AF came! Had such symptoms ive never had before i really thought it may be my lucky month.... but to no avail.

I def think the weight affects my fertility- i just cant seem to shift it, i was definately not born with will power lol!

Aww damn I was hoping for a BFP for ya, there's always next month though

I know exactly what you mean about weight loss and will power, I have days where I am really good with diet and exercise, and then days where I go a little over the calories and don't do much exercise.
So glad I got my bike now, best thing I ever did cause if I feel bloated after dinner or get bored or just need to pop into town I can just jump on the bike so it doesn't really feel like I'm forcing myself to exercise! it.
You never know I may lose the weight in time to put some back on with a bfp lol

Hi Katherine

I have PCOS and hypothyroid aswell, on CD104 today! I just got my prescription yesterday for provera to start my AF and clomid, he wants me to start wed 29th. I see my own GP monday to start meds for the underactive thyroid, trying to stay hopeful. It will be nice to go through this with you as you are in the same boat as me, good luck x

Hiya Lily, sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on here much lately.
It is nice to know we're not going through this alone hey
The meds for hypothyroidism really do make a difference...if you don't forget to take them like I did for ages when I first started taking them lol

I take it provera is the same as norethistorene? I started my 5 day course of Norethistorine yesterday to bring on my AF so I can start my second cycle of clomid, fingers crossed

Did you get levothyroxine from doc yet? if so what dose?

Just got my af yesterday and about to start clomid today, but doc rang e before I took and told me not to! She said guidelines had changed and only my gyn could prescribe it. She said I should concentrate on losing weight while I wait to see the gyn and offered me metformin and orlistat. :/ I have to go in to see her about it all but to be honest I am feeling really disappointed. I really wanted this month to be my month and get a bfp and now I feel like it won't happen for a long time.

Katherine, my af came today and I am starting my clomid tomorrow, I know how you feel, because I too have waited for what feels like forever to get my hands on this "wonder" drug not to mention the 119 day cycles that has just ended with the help of provera, if I were you (and this is just my opinion) I would just take it anyway if you have it already and tell her when you see her that you had already taken it before she rang! Yeah I waited a ages to be prescribed clomid I considered taking it anyway but she said it prob won't work too well yet cause I am overweight, so I'm thinking about holding onto them till I lose a couple of stone and then taking them. I don't want to waste them if the chances are lower right now. Feeling kinda stressed and tired about it, among other things lol

Long cycles suck, tbh sometimes mine have been months long (I never bothered counting, cba lol. Hope the clomid works for you this month, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya, would be nice to hear some good news
