I called my hospital when I was 12 weeks to see an OB/GYN on a referral but they said that they didn't need to see me until later on because I am "young and healthy" is this normal or should I be concerned? I have only seen my GP a few times to confirm my pregnancy and had two ultrasounds, but other women I have spoken to have gone for glucose tests and everything which have been set up by their OB/GYN.

I saw my obgyn a few times and had 2 ultrasounds then nothing until 28 +4 weeks when I did my glucose test after that I had ultrasounds every other week then after 35weeks 2 times a week and NSTs evey week only because I had major back issues and I ended up with gestational diabetes. Its normal not to be seen all the time if your healthy:) they try to leave you alone and let you enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible :) good luck!

Weird, where do you live? I'm in Scotland and I had checks from 15 weeks every few weeks, then from about 30 weeks I got seen every two weeks and bloods at 28 weeks, then from 37 weeks I got seen once a week.. It doesn't matter if you are young and healthy the baby needs checking on, and things can come on in pregnancy (not trying to scare you!) hope you can get seen soon! x

I'm from Australia, a few people I have asked have said its strange also. Hopefully they bring all my tests and things up to date seeing them next week so at least I'm not waiting too much longer now.

I think that is really strange I was seen at 7 weeks then 12 then 16 and then every 2-3 weeks after that I also had two scans and my bloods done at 12 and the 28 and then at 37 xx
