Not long now and still no name!! Advice needed!

Hi Ladies!

We have been told we are on team pink.

I have lots of names I like but DH is very picky! We have struggled to agree - at the moment we are only agreeing on 2 names! Only I am concerned about the suitability of them to go with our surname!

Our surname is Lafferty and we have already picked Lorraine as the middle name - after my mum who passed away 2 years ago. So those 2 names are certain but it is her 1st name that we are stuck on.

The only 2 names we both "agree" on at the moment are Brooke or Lily.

DH prefers Brooke I think but I prefer Lily although Im not too sure what people will think about all the L's!! Quite alot of people have said its cute and most prefer Lily to Brooke but I don't want to land our daughter with a name that she might hate! (although my name begins with an L - i married into it, wasn't born with it!)

So:

Brooke Lorraine Lafferty or Lily Lorraine Lafferty.

What do you all think? Or any other idea's you may think would be nice?? x

I think Lily's nice; she won't use her full name all the time so the three L's isn't so bad.

I have variations of both of those names on my short list -- Brooklyn & Liliana! Love them both!

Maybe you should wait to meet her & see what suits her best??

I think Lily Lafferty sounds pretty cute... but maybe the full name Brooke Lorraine Lafferty sounds a bit better... hhmmm... either way, i think they are both great choices & i think she will be happy with her name either way!

Brooke is probably alot less common than Lily, if that factors in?

Lilly Lafferty sounds like a famous star! brilliant

There won't be many occasions (other than getting married!!!) that she has to use her full name

I prefer Lily and also think the alliteration means it sounds better with the other names.

I like both names, I wouldn't worry about all the L's, it's lucky they all have different vowels - Li Lo La so it's not too difficult to say, also, you ave to consider, that middle names are so rarely used, it's not like you're going to be calling "Lily Lorrain Lafferty!" across the playground too often

I think Lily Lafferty sounds just fine, actually really cute! I like Brooke Lafferty as well, very sweet. My preference might be for Lily but since I know so many little Lily's I am voting for Brooke
