...im not sure if this is the right place 2 post, or classed as a complicstion but thought maybe someone had the same thing...

was just wondering for all of those who are due/nearly due/had children .... have you gone your entire pregnancy, or heard of any, where baby has not moved but everything is still fine??

only i am 24weeks today and not sure if i have felt baby move yet???

i have an anterior placenta and i am overweight...all scans OK and MW not worried either..

xxx

try not to worry hun as baby gets bigger youll feel her move theyre still so tiny at this stage and can hide behind the placenta. this is my fifth baby and i didnt feel definite movement until 22 weeks and even now he has days where i barely feel him

do you have a doppler? sometimes i put mine on just to hear him kicking it which i can do even when i cant feel it x

Well my mum always likes to tell me that I was the laziest baby ever, the only time I moved apparently was the weekend before she went into labour when I turned and engaged! Like you she had an anterior placenta which i'm sure was the reason she didn't feel any movement.
If your midwife isn't concerned I would try not to worry about it, was the baby moving during the scans? Louise's suggestion of using a doppler is a good one, it's so reassuring to hear that heartbeat! x

Thanks ladies, I don't own a doppler but I see my MW every 2weeks and always hear bubs HB...

I think I'll discuss futher with MW tell her how much its bothering me, even though I have heard alot of people say they havent felt movement til like 28weeks sometimes...I just hope its a case of being overweight and my anterior placenta..

xx

anterior is at the front of the uterine wall, therefore cushioning babys movements. It's probably you have felt baby move, but thus cushioning the kicks, punches etc. Don't be afraid to go to hospital to be monitored if you have any concerns, hope this is of help to you.

I have barely felt movement throughout and OH has only felt it 2ce although he reckons it was just wind :haha:

I'm nearly due as you can see.. I started feeling more movement 3-4 weeks ago but still nothing like what I've been told to feel and even then most of the time it's when i sit down for my daily "check" with a glass of cold water and ice to make sure..

If your ever worried do as lovemyfamily say and go to hospital and be monitored..

:hugs:
