Not using sound machine?

My baby is 5 weeks old and my husband is anti sound machines. He used it as a child and had sleep problems his whole life until adulthood. Does anyone successfully get baby to sleep and not use one? Looking for success stories and tips haha thanks!

We have never used one with either of our two. I don’t have anything to compare to but mine have both slept without one. Xx

I used white noise CONSTANTLY - which worked wonderfully - with my awful-sleeping second until she was about 5 months old (I swear at least 1 million of the views on the YouTube video were me) ... stopped using it when she was easier to breastfeed to sleep and never had a problem. She falls asleep on her own now without anything and sleeps all night in her room ... unlike her older sister.
