November due date?

I was induced with my son at exactly 14 days over but with my dd I went by myself the day before I was due to be induced 3 weeks early due to OC. I really really did not want to be induced as the experience with my son really wasn't very nice. All the midwives advised me to do was to keep as active as possible and get on my birthing ball as much as possible. Seemed to work for us as after a night pacing up and down hospital corridors and only sitting on the birthing ball my waters broke the next morning. Hopefully you will avoid induction this time around too :)

I have to admit I do not want to be induced! My sister was induced with my niece in May and it wasn't exactly the best experience for her. As she is the only person I know of to be induced she's my only point of comparison. I think once I hit 37 weeks I will be doing just about anything to get him out. All I really want is for him to be a November baby - and healthy of course! Think I'll be trying to be as active as possible, bouncing on my birthing ball and trying just about every other trick in the book!!

Reflexology worked for me! I had it a day after my due date having had no signs of impending labour and had my show about four hours later. I didn't know where on my foot the uterus was but the minute she massaged me there my bump went hard as a rock, it happened several times so definitely not a coincidence.

At antenatal class the midwife told us that the best thing was sperm....taken orally  OH's eyes lit up and I told him in no uncertain terms that I would not be that desperate to get the baby out- not with the terrible gag reflex I had anyhow!! :haha:

Sarah are you sick too or just enjoying a hot drink? I actually feel worse I have that horrible itch in my throat type cough nought and lots of yucky nasal discharge I have high hopes it will improve after a week since dh cough has greatly subsided. ds still has boogies and a cough but his seems pretty minor he is allowed to be at school this week.

This week has actually been going by pretty fast which makes me happy. I have a feeling this entire month will fly by with getting everything else ready for the baby (we need to make sure ds baby swing is in good clean condition still and rebuild it for baby along with the baby tub!) . plus with weekly appts to the obgyn it should speed by I hope!

hope everyone has a lovely day and stays healthy! :)

Not sick, just lazy :haha: Making the most of the fact that DH was doing the school run! Not sleeping too well to be honest, I wake up every 1-2 hours with aching hips so have to turn over.

Sorry you're still feeling rough, my mums a nurse and she always says 'whenever you think you've drunk enough water, have another glass'! It'll help thin the mucous and ease the cough. Hot toddy's are great too (hot water, lemon, honey and whiskey- maybe skip the whiskey?!!). Hope you're on the mend soon. :flower:

ahh I miss whiskey! I usually drink red wine but on a night out I'll get a diet coke and whiskey I miss them both but wine the most! I have been drinking lots of hot honey lemon water (my spell check changed honey to honey lemon water made me laugh had to share haha) any who and I'm also drinking as much water as I can I've naturally been more thirsty now that I'm sick. hopefully I'll be better by Monday!

it is lovely having dh drop off or pick up ds from school i agree a nice break. once the baby arrives it will be a whole new challenge getting out the door and it will be cold! so we have planned that dh drops off and picks up one of the two school days and then he drops off the second and I just pick up that way it won't be a pain lugging baby girl in and out of the house all winter no fun!

Hi,

I'm also due November - due date is 16th. I am also going to have a C-Section so anywhere from around the 9th. Although I've been having growth scans due to having a small baby previously. I had one last week and they said he hadn't grown as much so I have to go back in two weeks to check again.

This will be my third baby (and third boy). This will be our last - I have asked that they sterilise me this time.

I'm 33 weeks today and cannot believe how quick it has gone. Although I can't wait to meet the little guy, my second has just started school so I'm enjoying the kid free peace and quiet.

Hi, I'm due 18th, c section around 11th with my third and last too!

Well, probably the last!! OH only wants three, I've struggled massively with this pregnancy, the previous two births haven't gone well so would worry about pushing my body too much and I'm fast approaching 40! I'd love four though

Hope your LO has grown a bit, what weights were your others? Mine were 9lb7.5 and 9lb so not worried about the weight of this one!

Me and hubby both agree we don't want anymore and have decided to both get done. I'm having growth scans because my first was so small. Despite him being born at 37 + 4 he only weighed 4lb 2. I had pre eclampsia. With the second everything was a breeze lol and he was 7lb 7 so overall a good weight. Don't think I'll have problems with this one as he's on the large side! Do you know what your having? And what do you already have?

Wana how old are your two boys? nice to have quiet time especially when pregnant! my son is 3 and goes to preschool just. couple half days a week so it's nice to be able to get things done or just relax!

cupcake hope your little one stays in longer!

I'm so excited to have gotten to 34 weeks yesterday now counting down til 36 weeks so I'll only be a month away from my dd! eek! this cough I have is that burning chest gunny type cough day two if I'm still sick I'll see my regular dr next Monday normally ide wait a couple weeks but since I'm pregnant I figure I should be safe than sorry plus I've read colds usually just last about a week anyway.

Mary my husband and sister also have Nov birthdays it is nice having days between!

Sarah I hope your dd2 is feeling better now!

My boys are 7 and 4...with the youngest just starting school so it's nice and peaceful! I hope you get better soon and your dd will be here before you know it...time flies by so quickly.

Oh bless him, that is small! I was told DD2 would be 8lb when I had a growth scan but she was 9lb! And I'm measuring big again this time, 94th centile apparently. Hoping that having the baby at 39 weeks will mean it's slightly smaller or half my baby grows will be wasted and she/he will be straight into 0-3 months!!

Don't know what we're having, team yellow this time. We have two DD's, leaning towards thinking this one is blue but not sure. I was positive DD1 was a girl (team yellow), and all the way to the scan with DD2 I was sure she was a girl and obviously was proved right. This time I don't have that overwhelming certainly though! Don't really have a strong preference though.

I miss red wine too. I usually drink more white but go off it hugely when pregnant so don't miss it, I don't go off red wine though so have a few sips now and then!

Whereabouts in the US are you? Do you get bad winters? Ours are fairly mild, we haven't had any snow the last couple of years and when we do get it it normally only sticks for a day or two! We had quite a lot of snow when I was due with DD1 though which concerned me a bit, fortunately my mum lives down the road and has a 4x4 so I had her on standby. Because we get so little I find that nobody deals with it well at all, everything comes to a standstill, it's quite ridiculous!

We live in New England so freezing cold crazy winters downpours of snow :dohh:

my ds was supposed to be a tiny bit smaller but for the most part his measurements were right on and they told me he was too big for me to deliver naturally so I was frustrated as to why I wasn't given a c section. but so many woman tell me size doesn't matter so it's confusing I don't know what to think haha.

Oh New England is so beautiful, especially this time of year! I can imagine it gets pretty cold though. I often wish we had more snow but I know it would be a pain to deal with.

I've always been told that big babies are actually easier to birth. I think anything under 10lb is manageable for most women, obviously tiny ladies would struggle with that though!! I didn't find my 9lb DD too hard to deliver, barely felt the 'ring of fire' as she crowned. My sister had a 7lb and a 9lb and said the 9lb was far easier.

Feeling any better yet? Hope you're getting some rest!

that's so interesting! my son was 7lbs 9oz and im 5foot 2 and then I was normally 104lbs think I gained only 25 that pregnancy I'm already past 33 now ahh! Haha. my cough is a tiny bit better but bought lots of tissues for my cold I think the honey water has helped I've been drinking it twice a day!

and yes I love the fall this year gorgeous although it feels cooler than I remember it being this year! October tomorrow ladies our last month in waiting for our due date month !!

35 weeks today almost in the home stretch 9 months next Tuesday I can't wait!

Anyone else due around Thanksgiving time? I'm due on the 16th and REALLY hope we aren't spending the holiday in the hospital.

I'm due on Nov 11, but my first was 12 days late, so I might end up closer to Thanksgiving.
