So I went to get my bloodwork for the NT test today. I already had the scan last week, and they gave me a sheet with the report of the ultrasound stapled to the bloodwork form.
So I was just wondering if these measurments are normal -
Nuchal translucency is 1.8 mm ?
And it says the placenta is posteriorly placed. What does this mean?

Thanks ladies x

1.8mm is the amount of fluid behind the baby's neck. That's in the normal range. And a posterior placenta just means it's on the back wall of your uterus. Mine was posterior too :)

Yeah posterior is a 'normal' placenta towards the back whereas anterior is towards the front and may effect how long it takes to feel kicks etc! And that is a normal level! I think Jason's was 1. something (god it was just over 13 months ago lol) :)

Thanks ladies :)
Helped loads x
I hope everything comes back normal, which I'm sure it will.
And clair, the pic of your lil man is sooo adorable ! :)
Little christmas outfit?

I'm sure it will! :)
Yeah just a wee top and a hat a knitted him :)
His actual outfit will be a shirt, tie, waistcoat and trousers :haha:

just like everyone said, 1.8mm is normal (exactly what mine was I might add!) and posterior means attached to the back of your uterus.
