October 2018 Bumpkins!

Ah wow twins!!! Congrats!

So glad everyone’s scans have went so well and we haven’t had much bad news on this group!

I can’t believe that’s me 15 weeks! Gender scan and next midwife appointment next Thursday so super excited about that. Feeling much better in myself just having a bit of on and off nausea but so much happier. Dealing with pretty bad bowel issues though. I just can’t go and feel so bunged up so I’ve been trying to eat lots of fruit everyday. How is everyone else feeling?

Love all these scan pictures and I'm totally jealous now! Haha NDH no way, that's so awesome that you called it mama!! From 4 of us thinking maybe there's 2 you really knew! Good job! As for me just counting down the days until my $200 scan ugh excited though!!

Ndh twins that is awesome :happydance:

A few more days till my next scan and panorma , finally bloating has died down and less trips to the bathroom but my girls still are sore went out and bought a supper comfy maternity bra . Going to be doing some clothes shopping soon nothing fits comfortably anymore I have gained 3lbs so far .

Ndh wow! What an intuition! Congrats! I have 3 year old boy/girl twins.

Twins <3 <3

I'm scheduled for my first MW appointment on Thursday. I'm feeling mostly okay and I'm starting to get some of that second tri magic. My skin is clearing up and I'm not feeling like poo so much any more.

Im feeling quite a bit better too lately! Nausea is practically gone and today I all of a sudden felt like I had energy again. Like I actually wanted to get my butt off the chair and do something, ha. Im still super tired at night and want to go to bed at like 8. I think my bump is growing too. Im overweight so I just look fatter to everyone around me, but I can definitely notice a difference.

I was wondering if you all have already announced. Im 13+1 and still havent told hardly anyone and havent said anything on social media. My mom wants to tell everyone but I just dont know if Im ready yet!

I told everyone already when I found out I would have rather had their support if something went wrong then not

Hi ladies! Congrats on all on the gorgeous scans and to Ndh on twins!

I took a break from the forum shortly after I joined the Oct group as I went in for my 7 week scan and was only measuring at around 4 weeks. but had my levels checked and they seemed to be rising and yesterday went in for another scan and baby looked great and measuring at 9w 4d. So my new due date is Nov 8th. Appears that I ovulated VERY late. My doctor even asked if I failed to note a period. But lost period or not, I'm still in the game and hoping for a full term pregnancy. Looks like I'm moving over to the November mommas-to-be. H&h pregnancy to you all!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy pb xx

Curlymikes I announced after our 12 week scan so 12+1.

Anyone else wondering when they can buy maternity clothes? I’m fine day to day but my work uniform, especially the bottoms, is quite uncomfortable now and by the end of my shift I can’t wait to have it off. I think the tightness makes me more bloated too. I’m gonna try and hold out another couple of weeks as really there isn’t much there, I think it’s mainly just my waist thickening. I was thinking 18-20 weeks but we shall see!

PB I'm so relieved to hear baby is now measuring on track based on the last scan and you must have just ovulated late. That was what happened to me with my second daughter (although I went into the scan with somewhat uncertain dates as I had had two weeks of negatives after my period was due, and then tested again on the dating my second AF and got a blazing positive.) I went into the dating ultrasound not sure whether I'd be 9 weeks or less, and bub measured 6+2 with a hb, so no one was concerned, and she grew right on target and was born at 40+4 (and declared a 42 weeker by the midwives)

I have told several people, but only those who I would tell about a miscarriage anyway. Aka, not my entire Facebook friends list. DHs family knows, my mother knows (estranged father), and several of my very close friends know. I told the people whose support I'd need if I had another miscarriage.

I think I'll make a little announcement post on FB when I hit 15 weeks, or when we find out the gender. I'm not quite sure.

It's been ages since I've posted on here. I hardly get on forums these days, for some reason.

My symptoms started to really ease up about 2 weeks ago, the worst of which was insomnia combined with extreme fatigue. Our 10+2 scan went really well, and tomorrow I have an appointment with my ob/gyn to go over my blood pressure. It ran a bit high pre-pregnancy, so I'll probably have to begin medication for that. Bummer, but whatever it takes to keep this baby healthy!

I also finally inquired with a midwife that I'm hoping will accept me. I'm a US native living in Berlin, and my German is really elementary, so it's important for my doctors and such to be English-speaking. I have a high BMI (38, before pregnancy) and several other risk-factors, so I'm REALLY hoping they'll still be willing to work with me. I desperately want a home birth, or at least for that to be the primary plan. Fingers crossed!

smurphy: hope you get the HB you are hoping for.

Curlymikes: I've told most people I come in contact with on a daily basis. I haven't announced on FB, but I doubt I will. I also haven't told my co-workers yet because my first MW appointment is Thurs and I just wanted to wait until after that.

Blah11: I've invested in some maternity clothes and wear them about 50% of the time. I have 2 pairs of regular pants that still barely fit and a few skirts. This is my 3rd pregnancy though. My old maternity clothes don't really fit. I was bigger to start out with and most of the shirts are quite stretched out, so I think I'll have to get a few more pieces pretty soon. I think its really important to be comfortable in your clothes and to feel like you look good in them, especially when preggo. Just waiting for some sales.

Ahhh i feel so crabby lately and annoyed. Our weather is horrible, still snow and it should be nice out and its really getting me down. I love taking my kids to parks and playing outside. My feeling really frusterated that nothing sounds good to eat. (Besides fast food). Im not nauseous anymore but i dont want to eat like anything let alone make it. These days have been crawling by and i feel like there is nothing to look forward to. I dont have an ultrasound for 5 more weeks. I hear her hb everyday on the doppler which makes me happy but im just in like a funk. Hoping I feel better with 2nd tri.

12 weeks today! Had a drs appt today. No ultrasound but the heartbeat was 164 so I'm feeling a lot less stressed.

My thyroid levels were also a little off so he started me on some meds for that. Last time my doc gave me thyroid medication I managed to loose 80lbs within a year.

We also got blood drawn for genetic screening and to find out the sex of the baby. Should hear back within 7-10 days.

Had my first appointment today. HB was 150. The MW said it sounded like a boy.

Had my 12 week scan baby was moving so much I couldn't see the part section hb was 156 and baby is mesuring right on schedule :happydance:

Jaaayyyy for a great scan Ruskie!

Is anyone else dealing with cravings that are getting worse? I can't stop myself, I eat all the time now... And it seems like i only crave unhealthy things...

Bloblo I have been craving cinnamon rolls lately so unhealthy but so yummy lol

Thanks ladies I also found out today to my insurance policy does not cover the natera panorma so we will be skipping it unless my out of pocket is 200 or less . I wont know till Monday the guy who has the info is out for the weekend . If we do pass on it we have our anatomy scan June 5th

Ruskin contact panorama today, tell them your insurance doesn't cover it and ask if they have a self pay option. Aparently that makes it heaps cheaper. Panorama may still come to be over $200 butchered are apparently other comparable blood tests thatbwill be less doing it that way.
