October 2018 Bumpkins!

Oh bloblo she's absolutely darling!!!! That's great that she's such a good baby! Im sorry you're struggling with bf it is deff though and not an easy task! Have you tried nipple shields? They were my life savers got the first month and a half! I had to try a few different ones until i found the medela 20mm the larger ones just gagged hun and were too big fir him to latch onto. They are fine for small or large nipples as the 20mm size is for their mouth not your nipple size. The lanisoh 20mm worked as well but the shape was a bit different and a little too small he couldn't latch as deep, i had to order them on Amazon as the stores and the lactation specialist only carried 24mm and's larger hopefully that helps hang in there mama you're doing great!!!!

Katie and Bloblo your lo look so darling .

Things have been very rough here , Madison was diagnosed with gerd put on zantac 2x a day then a week later she had a severe episode and stopped breathing . I had to start cpr while on the phone with 911 . I got her breathing again and she spent 2 nights in the hospital. She now has an apnea monitor 24 hours a day and sleeps on a tucker wedge and sling when hubby is at work and sleeps in her rocker when he is home. I had to stop breastfeeding for now but she is still getting breastmilk from a bottle. That was the scarriest day of my life and I hope I never have to go thru it again. Madison will be doing feeding therapy as well her first appointment is on Monday . I hopefully can go back to breastfeeding someday I miss breastfeeding her. Here she is at almost 7 weeks. She is 7lbs 4 oz now

Ruskie that sounds terrifying!

My twins are 1 month old today! Still EBF, and between the two of them have gained 5lbs. Ezekiel is such a fatty, I love it. I always wanted a rolly polly baby but my older 3 were all long and lean. I think he's getting the lions share of a twin milk supply lol.

Both babies had tongue ties - his was a big hindrance to feeding initially and we had his revised at 6 days old. Just had Adiras revised on Friday as she stopped gaining weight as my supply has been regulating and she has to work harder for the milk. I was hoping it would also help with her spitting up so much since she took in so much air with every feed. But she's still spitting up just as much even though her latch has improved and isn't clicking anymore, so I'm going to have to investigate other reasons for all the spit up.
