October Babies.

Poor baby! :-( I'm sure she'll be ok though, right? I've never heard of anything like that. :-(

Does anyone else feel like their baby is older than they really are? Marin's been holding her own head up since birth, and she would sleep through the night every night if I let her. I don't have much (ok, any) experience with babies or newborns, but she just seems older than she should.
I hadn't heard of it either. Basically some of her lymph vessels didn't connect properly so she has a fluid swelling under her skin about the size of a golf ball but on her it looks huge! Luckily they think it's just a comestic issue and won't affect her health unless it becomes infected. We'll be going interstate in two weeks to see a team of specialists so they can come up with a treatment plan. I hope they can get rid of it before she is old enough to have any awareness,

Ouch. That sounds terrible. I'll keep her in my thoughts!

Poppy Violet is now 17 days old and has had a few issues with putting on weight ! She was 5lbs 6oz born and is still not back to her birth weight, she was admitted back into hospital with jaundice so is playing catch up at the min! Apart from that she is a little gem! I'm totally in love! 💖

Nullaby I hope you feel better soon, it must be hard with 3 :hugs:

+tive I knoe what you mean about oh! Mine was off work for 4 months after tom was born, he drove me crazy! Saying that, kate is only 2 weeks old and hes already gone back! I miss him!... I hope your oh is helping with your spd x

Avery is 9 days old and doing great! She took right to breastfeeding and I've gotten past the sore nipples stage by now. My breastpump has been my best friend to keep from being sore and I've already got a good supply of frozen milk.

I, on the other hand, have had a pretty rough week. I've been sick with a fever, have a double ear infection and had to get 2 teeth pulled. I can't wait to feel healthy again

I wondered how your skin has been since having baby?.... My face is a mess! I've broken out in spots all over my chin and have a coldsore! My hair is so flat too! I hope it doesn't stay like this :dohh: im blaming hormones!

My skin and hair were terrible during pregnancy. Hair was flat and dry and just unmanageable and my skin was absolutely disgusting! I would get huge cysts and deep pimples all over that would literally pop up out of nowhere, like between trips to the bathroom.

It's sloooowly all getting back to normal, thank god. At least my face isn't so sore anymore.

I had really nice blemish free skin throughout pregnancy, and before it was okay with the odd spot everynow and again. But its like my hormones have gone crazy since she was born!.... I think its down to less sleep too and feeling a bit run down.

Im glad yours is clearing up girlnboots x

the whole pregnancy I got some rash like spots round my mouth - not a good look.

Stood on the scales today - didn't loose as much in childbirth as I had hoped...but hasn't stopped me eating cake.

Doug had a sleepy today - which been brilliant as meant I could catch up on some sleep.

Ooohh.... Cake. I find my cravings haven't lessened in the slightest since giving birth. Poor OH gets strange requests for OJ at 2 am. Now I just want a piece of chocolate fudge cake with vanilla buttercream.

My apetite hasnt changed really. Im trying really hard not to eat too much sugar and refined foods though as I dont want to become constipated! Its painfull enough going to the loo with stitches! Anyone else still sore down there?

I havent weighed myself since
Kate was born :dohh:

I've been really picky with my food, when normally I'll eat anything and everything. Maybe its the post-partum corset thing that I am wearing squishes my stomach and makes me less hungry! I bit the bullet and weighed myself, and I'm not too bad! I have lost 10kg and have 7kg to go.

Tom's mummy i feel for you, I had a first degree tear with my first and I dreaded going to the loo for weeks! I think the only advantage of having a c-section is that I can pee without fear :haha:

It stopped hurting to pee a while ago, thankfully! Man, that was horrible.

I wouldn't say I'm still sore, but I can definitely tell that I have some general nerve trauma in the area. If I sit too long or sit wrong, it feels like I'm getting kicked in the crotch. I've had a VERY easy recovery compared to my crappy pregnancy, so I'm doing just fine. I do have some pretty intense pelvic pain some days though. I'm not sure if my pelvis separated during birth or if it's just normal healing, but it's not fun! I almost fell with my baby the other day because my legs/hips couldn't support my weight. Ouch. Better than sciatica though!

LOL girlnboots.. I actually googled "vagina feels punched" the week I got home - and I had a c section. Turned out to be likely bruising from the catheter.... I feel for you guys with tears to deal with though!
