My little girl is 3 weeks old today. (Already? O.o) And almost every time I pick her up, or change her position, or much of anything, her right shoulder pops. Sounds like it would if I popped my knuckle, and you can feel it.

It doesn't seem to cause her any distress at all, she doesn't even make a face and never cries when it happens, but nothing ELSE seems to pop regularly on her, and I don't know if this is a bad sign or anything.

Anyone else have something similar happen? Is this something to worry about at all, even when it causes no discomfort?

Help?

Thanks. :)

My LO's shoulder also pops, mainly when I position him to breastfeed. I have no idea what it means but it never causes him any distress. I do worry a little that he's going to end up being prone to clicking body parts.

Our LO is the same. I asked the doctor a while back and she said it was normal :)

same with mine she it 5 wweeks and its her right side of her hip...i picked her up on day and thought i broke her o.0

Hope, that's what I'm mostly worried about. Does she have some sort of crack or whatever that's an issue?

But I think she'd be more uncomfortable if that was true, right? It pops and she doesn't even make a face. She's completely fine.

My LO's hip was always popping and cracking when she was really small. The doctor said it is normal and usually goes away with time. I think it stopped around 3 months.

Paiges wrists still click sometimes when Im playing with her/getting her dressed. Theyre only tiny little clicks and I feel them rather than hear them, but then again, my whole body clicks all the time!

I could've written this post! My LO is also three weeks old and her right shoulder pops all the time.

My husband pops his knuckles/toes/wrists/etc all the time, which drives me crazy, so he thinks it's pretty funny that his daughter is following in his footsteps. :dohh:

Yup, my little girls left shoulder always pops when I pick her up, so it seems pretty normal. :) She never seems to get upset about it!

I read that doctors don't know what causes it but it is totally normal, and baby would let you know if it was anything that was causing them pain x x

Thanks all, I feel much better about it now. :)
