OH has a cold and I want to punch him in the face.

He's coughing constantly, sniffling, breathing loudly, sneezing loudly, huffing puffing and sighing, and generally groaning and moaning about how desperately ill he is (honestly, you'd think he was dying).

Usually I'd be able to ignore all these things and look after him, and show an adequate level of sympathy and compassion (not too much, I don't want to indulge his dramatic side - it is JUST a cold )

But at the moment, my fuse is SO short that I can barely stand being in the same room as him, and it's taking all the energy I have to just count to ten. And that's beginning to not work anymore. Now, as I say, I just want to punch him in the face.

I feel so lucky to have him, he's the absolute perfect man (apart from the wet bath towels on the floor haha!). He's attentive, affectionate, never loses his patience with me, understanding and completely and utterly loving at all times. But seriously, I can't take it anymore!! Someone please tell me they're feeling like this too?! I feel terrible lol x x

HAHAHA... ok so now I read this I feel perfectly justified to rant about MY OH too.

He is a pig. He belches and farts in public whenever he feels the need to, never holds it in like most of the rest of us! Anyway, in M&S the other day, he lets rip with a huge loud belch and this random guy comes up to him and calls him a f***ing pig really loud in the middle of the store, now it WAS my OH fault for BEING a pig, but I politely said to the man (because I was in a bad mood anyway), how can you call him a pig when you are swearing at the top of your lungs in the middle of the store making people look??? And this man obviously misheard what I said because he started going off at me saying I said something about his mother?!?! how does anything in the sentence I said translate to a comment about his mother?

Anyway, I managed to convince him that I didn't say anything about his mother and he apologised to me and left the store, but it left me feeling pissed off for AGES!!

SO anyway all this was because my OH is a dirty pig grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So feel comforted that yours isn't the only crappy OH right now

ha ha totally sympathise. ive got same cold n cough at moment though an gotta say it is awful!!! ive never felt this bad from a cold, although i did manage to catch it at same time as gettin sickness bug and bein pregnant so i feel i am justified!
im same as u though, felt soooo sorry for myself havin it but now my mums got it and i just cant sympathise! it actually irritates me cos im sure mine's worse ha ha xxx

I have the cold too Ashlee, so I'm probably just as bad as him But I'm pregnant so I'm allowed to be annoyed at him. That's the way I see it!

its horrible isnt it. and it is soooo true, its clearly 10 times worse when ur pregnant and they shud be looking after us NOT sulking. they can sulk again once theyve had 3/4 months of morning sickness, aching boobs and 9 months of no sleep. until then i think we're justified if we do punch them in the face lol xxx

Lol.. I had bad hyperemesis for 15 weeks... I got sympathy for a week and then OH was over it lol. He'd occasionally ask me if I was ok..

And then WHILE I WAS STILL SICK he got a cold.. and didn't he turn into a big sookylala! "baby can u make me some lunch" "baby can u go get me some panadol" "baby i feel sick" "baby I'm gonna lay in bed all day and complain"!

Don't get me wrong, I love him to bits... But come on!

NO WAY would he have got ANY sympathy from me!! I'm still being sick now, but it's not even every day, and he's struggling to get some sympathy out of me If he'd asked a few weeks ago when I was barfing 10 times a day, that punch in the face would have been a whole lot more tempting!!
