he did it today and handed it in they said the results would be back at the GP for next monday. There didnt look like there was much there in the sample pot he said he really stuggled cos of the pressure etc but he did manage some.

Also get my cd21 (or cd20 cos they took it a day early trust me to need blood tests on a saterday) on wednesday im so nervous, will the receptionist tell me the results over the phone it takes weeks to get appt with the nice lady doc who i have been seing?

Not sure on your results, i guess if all clear then she might say on the phone, i remember the receptionist giving me mine over phone but they were other blood tests,same thing tho i guess chick

When I was due my day 21 test results (i've had three and have another tomorrow) they told me over the phone. The first one they told was negative, it wasn't! I only found out they had told me the wrong result months later at a doc's appointment.
The other two I was told were "satisfactory".

Lol. It's strange how some receptionists are like that!

I say, if you don't ask you don't get Scary they may be, but the worst they can do is say no. And by law you can see your own notes, so to be honest I don't really see why they'd have authority to refuse. Brave them and ask

Hi Claire99991 - I had a 21 day test for ovulation back at the end of Jan. A week later I phoned the docs for results and the receptionist told me they were marked satisfactory. I asked about levels (as I wanted numbers to check out online and compare with other ppls experiences, but didn't tell the receptionist that) and she wasn't sure and insisted on getting the doctor to call me (she was a nice receptionist).

When the doc phoned I was really nervous for some reason and I tried to get levels / measurements from him but all he would say was my result was above 30 (30 what I am not sure??) and that was satisfactory to show that I ovulated.

Hope you and ur DH get good postive results from your tests and you might as well ask for levels/ measurements and as Proudmumofone said you have a right to know. Many best wishes.

In our trust the majority of the sperm count comes back quite quickly but we have to wait for like weeks and weeks for the normal forms bit (8 weeks last time), as I think this gets sent to a different hospital).

You are entitled to get your test results. If they don't give you the details you want over the phone go in to the surgery and ask to see them.

I got told I needed an appointment to get my results but they were bad, if they were good I wonder if she would have told me over the phone?? Something else to over-analyze when I phone up for my results next week

well my cd21 blood test confirmed ovulation, just waiting on OH's sperm test now and i have sum more blood tests on CD3 to check FSH, LH and sumthing else but i carnt read my docs handwriting haha its sumthing like palactin?

That'll be prolactin! It's some hormone that makes you produce milk, and I think it does other stuff as well, but can't remember what! My levels were apparently 'borderline raised' when i was tested back in December, but apparently that can be easily caused by stress, so doc didn't seem too bothered! I think progesterone and prolactin counteract each other, so if one's too high then the other can be too low, or something...
