hi all! as i have seen the young yummy mummy section on here and felt old at not being able to join :haha: i feel that us 'older' mums (though i certainly don't feel old!) deserve a place to chat! :flower:

my name is Anne and i am 33. i have 3 kids - dylan (4) erin (3) and owen (5 months). i am a teacher but am currently on maternity leave but will be returning to work full time in may just before owen's 1st bday!

look forward to talking to some of you :flower:

I'm interested :D

I'm Nora 32. Omar is my 1st. I'm a SAHM. I'm the oldest among my friends & cousins who only have 1 baby. I was a facility manager before quiting 3 yrs back.

I still feel than I dont fit with moms  I love being a mom, but I still feel that there is something missing. I'm a bit slow now, & sometimes I don't really know what I'm doing. Having a 1st baby at this age is challenging. I was always in control but now the baby is :haha:

i had my 1st when i was 29. i was amazed how hard it was even to have a shower or go to the toilet!!! are you planning more? i am not looking forward to going back to work but i have to coz we cant afford me not to. i'd love to ba a SAHM!

I had a traumatic CS. I visited my Dr. yesterday & she advised me to wait another year before TTC # 2 as she thinks we'r still not over the birth experience. DH also wants to wait. I miss going to work :( DH has his own busn & I help sometimes but I cant commit to a project. Maybe when Omar is 1 yr, I will look into going to the office part time. For now, I love spending my time with him at home :D

yeah they grow up so fast you just have to make the most of the time you have with them before they stop wanting to spend their time with you :haha: off to do some housework now owen is asleep..............................if i can put him down without him waking up :dohh:

Thought I would say hi,

I am Mum of 5, they are ds 16, ds 10, dd 7, dd 2 and dd 1 month old.

I am 37 and had babies in my 20's and 30's, I am loving having a newborn again and trying to make the most of her as we have decided to shut up shop with anymore babies, i suppose 5 is enough!
I am married, we met 5 years ago, i already had 3 children and he had a son so we have 6 in all!

I flit on here when i can, sometimes just read and run but usually reply at some point! I have been with the September Stars from about 4 months pregnant.

:hugs:

hi babythinkpink!!! :flower: you must have your hands full! 3 is hard enough!!! are you a SAHM? i am trying to enjoy every second of my baby, even the sleepless nights, as i dont think i'm going to be able to convince OH to have another. plus we really have no room for more as we have a 3 bedroom flat and an upgrade to a four bed would mean a mortgage of at least £250,000!!!

Hi, :flower:

Yes I am SAHM, don't think i have much time for anything else! I did a degree to do then go into teacher training but my dh had a back injury and our lives changed!
Suddenly i had one more to look after, it took a while to adjust to having him about 24/7.

We only have 3 bedrooms, we have a boys room a girls room and our room, the baby will be in with us as long as possible, it's so easy at night just to pop her on the boob i don't even get out of bed!
We fit ok, tbh more rooms would only cause argument!

The more the merrier! :hugs:

the rooms in our flat are pretty small so sharing a room will mean bunk beds for the boys. is that what you have? baby will be with us as long as he sleeps badly :dohh: or rather with me as OH has been relegated to the sofa :haha: i too just do the stick him on the boob when he wakes!

Hi! I'm 34 and have one gorgeous daughter who turned one a couple of weeks ago so I was 33 when I had her! I'm loving been a mummy though I have been back at work now for two weeks I loved the year off work I spent with her! Thankfully things seem to be going ok even if I do spend a lot of time rushing about! Don't work Fridays so looking forward to a lovely weekend with Phoebe! Nice to meet you all x

hi ladies :) I'm Emma 31 and first time mummy to Archie who is 18 weeks tomorrow x

Yes we have 2 sets of bunks. one in boys room and one in the girls girls, and a single spare bed in the boys room where dh goes if i want peace from his snoring!:haha:
The baby will take the single spare space and the girls will move to boys room, which is bigger.
Pink painting ahead of me!
Luckily the baby is really good so she stays with us for as long as possible, i love it having a baby in with us, our room is quite big so fits her stuff in easy, when she grows from moses basket i will just put the cot next to my bed.
I love having lots of children! :hugs:

Hi Bingers,
has it been hard getting back to work after that time? xx:hugs:

Hi Emmat,
only just into the over 30's there! How are you enjoying motherhood? xx:hugs:

Well i am off now, tea time planning starts early in this house! I am on a 'healthy eating' thing right now, trying to support dh's efforts to loose weight, i am a bit of a home cooker so he has piled on the weight since we were together, a gradual increase over the last 5 years!
Got 1 smelly bum to change now, she has just filled her nappy sat on my lap, all warm and squidgy, lovely!

:hugs:

hi emma :flower:

well spent the morning making purees and tidying up and entertaining the kids. need to go to morissons now but i am taking a breather and sat on my bum with owen sleeping in my arms. OH and erin are designing pumpkins faces to cut out of the pumpkins he bought for the halloween party we are having tomorrow for the kids and a few friends. have soooooooooooooo much tidying up to do :dohh: really need to sort out toys and have a clear out.

I hadnt noticed this thread! Anne I feel old now  I am (gulp) 32 but I feel about 24. I had Emily at 21, Holly at 22 and Alex at 31. I'dlove another (shhh dont tell my DH) but I think 3 is it for us. Sometimes I want to tear my hair out and hide away with a bottle of wine, but really I love my children soooooo much and I hate the thought of life without them x

same here amy! i was 33 last month so i know how you feel!!! i have had a few cheeky glasses of baileys the last week or so :wine: dont think the bottle's going to make it til xmas as OH has also had some. i think we'll only have 3 kids too. i would love another too in a year or 2 but OH says no way

MY DH is going to get the snip after our latest scare :(

i think i may get the coil. dont really want hormones though i was on the pill for years! OH is not keen on the coil though. it's either that or use condoms forever! he doesnt want the snip as he says he's too young!

I'm back on the pill even though I hate the idea. I hope he forgets about snipping. i dont really like the idea of it, its a bit mutilating :haha: I'm always nervous of the coil, if you do get it you'll have to let me know if it hurts when they put it in!
