Hi all,
I'm new to these forums and I guess have turned to them as my husband has just been diagnosed with oligoteratozoospermia (although the doctor just mentioned teratozoospermia on our referral letter to the fertility specialist. Results below:
Volume = 3.8ml
Viscosity increased
Sperm concentration = 8.2m
Total sperm number = 31m
Total motility = 18% (12% progressive)
Vitality = 74%
Normal morphology = 1%
Anyway, most of you who recognise this will no doubt be aware as to how I/we are both feeling right now but I know we need to come out of this and focus on making a plan and remaining positive (thankfully my husband is good at this).
He's just started taking a vitamin complex and his first acupuncture session in a couple of weeks but our very 'to the point' doctor has said in no uncertain terms that ICIS is really the only option.
Anyway, I don't really know what I'm expecting from here, hopefully a story of hope or two as this really is turning out to be a deeply saddening time.
