My son's poop has changed to an olive green color today. It is not runny. It is almost a peanut butter consistancy. He isn't running fever and seems to be happy and is napping like normal. He is on Enfamil Gentlease and has been since he was 3 weeks old. He is almost 2 months old. We also uped him to 5 oz yesterday from 4 oz. What i'm wanting to know is if this is normal?

Green coloured poop is normal when the little one is on formula. From what I heard from our nursing department in our region, it's due to the iron that is in the formula itself.

Our little guy has green poop pretty much all the time (sometimes it is rather um -- explosive or what we joked as 'nuclear poop')

Hope that helps!

Very normal. Formula fed babies have green/yellow poop and it will continue to stay that color until they begin eating solid foods.

But what I don't understand is his poop was yellow and then just turned green today. He has been on the same formula for 5 weeks. Why would it just change just like that, over night? Tell me I am worring for nothing!

That happened to Carter than it turned to watery diarrhea i had to switch him from the gentlease to the nestle good start and now his poo is normal but as long as its not watery i would say your fine

The same happens to Ava. Her poo will sometimes be all yellow or all green and sometimes a mixture. When I spoke to her pediatrician about it they told me it was normal.
