OMG! pregnant after 2 losses and soooo nervous

Hi ladies, just got my this morning and I am sooooo nervous after 2 losses!!! its horrible to be too scared to get excited.

How are you ladies? I guess everyone feels the same in the early days xx

This is my third pregnancy after 2 losses too. Congratulations and here's to sticky beans.

Yes, to be honest I cant imagine after losses that anyone's feelings are uncomplicated and free of fear - mine certainly werent.

Get yourself an early scan if you can - 8 weeks is a good time - before that and you might only see sac/fetal pole and that can be scarier than not having the scan. I found I relaxed a lot after that - enough to get to the magic 12 week one without going completely mental.

It never completely goes I think, not until we get to hold them in our arms.

However, a positive mental attitude can help a lot in keeping you calm enough to deal with the pregnancy. There is a lot of support in here and on the boards in general if you are having a hard time.

thank you, its good to hear positive news about your pregnancy, Im glad al is well for you. Im under the recurrent mc unit so will need to call them monday. I havent recieved the results from them yet though!! hope this is the one, we are on holiday in 3 weeks so I will be about 7 weeks which is a scarey time for me, we are away for 3 weeks so id like a scan before we go to put our minds at rest x

keep on at them for a scan and your blood tests - I had loads of bloods taken in February after I was referred to the gynae clinic to investigate the mmc's. Took them until I was pregnant again and howling (literally!) for results in May before they told me they had all come back normal! Since then I have been formally handed over to the ante-natal team after the 12 week scan was good.

Yes - 7 weeks is a scary time (mine were mmc's but 6 weeks was when the mc's happened for me) you should be able to see a hb by then but if you cant dont worry it could simply be your dates are a little out. My dates have moved forward by a week and several 1st tri ladies had theirs moved back well over a week after early scans.

yes when we went for our tests at rmc they told us that I will be scaned every 2 weeks untill 12 weeks and then we will take it from there. My oh recons we will be told off lol!! as we havent had results back yet and Im pregnant, but to be honest we didnt actively try. Im happy that we are just sad that im not brimming with excitment like we should be when you have great news.

The bloods are very important il be on that, had a lot of arguements about them not checking the results in my last pregnancy and I am paranoid about progesterone levels.

yes we will, I recon they will give me a due date 2nd march but I know I dont ov untill around day 21 so I think it should be around 9th march. Im going to do a digi test tomorrow. xx

you can do it on goole type in due date and type in ya late date of ya period it tells me 10th of march 2011 i going to ask for early scan xxx

Congratulations! I had 3 losses before I had my daughter. I can say (as bad as it sounds) that everyday I woke up thinking that would be the day I lost her during the whole pregnancy. Even when I delivered her I thought she wouldn't make it. It was unfounded because I had scans every week during the whole pregnancy and knew she was alive while I was in labor. I think it is just something that women with a history of losses go through. I had 2 more losses after her and am currently 25 weeks pregnant with twins. Am I still scared? YES! I still check for bleeding everyday and worry when I don't feel them for hours but I'm a little more relaxed. Just try to relax about it as much as possible (useless advice I know). You'll feel better after your first scan. Good luck you guys!

Tas congrats! I'm newly pregnant after 2 losses as well. My EDD is March 4. I'm getting an early scan on July 13. I will be 6+4 weeks. I'm incredibly nervous to the point I feel like I'm going to throw up every time I think about it. I'm bringing my husband to the scan as the last two times I ended up getting bad news when I was by myself. I hope bringing him will change the outcome for the better! Like you, I'm going on holiday right around 7 weeks. I hate the thought of being away from my doctor, but I also have to live my life! Good luck to you and your new bean. I hope they stick for everyone in this forum. We all deserve it!
