Omg the coil!

I have had the coil in for a year, just dtd an can not find the strings anywhere! Arghhh what do I do??

dont check for the strings my docotr said thats the worse thing as they can get tucked up but most people thats how theres get knocked out.

have you had your year check?

if your worried go the brook or the nurse and theyll check its still in

ask your GP or practice nurse to have a look for them

and use condoms until they confirm it is still there and in the right place

as mentioned above, they are probably tucked up behind the cervix

I could not feel my string either (and neither could any of my doctors I had over the years), and I had my IUD for 9 1/2 years. The first time I noticed no string, We had a ultrasound done, and My IUD is in it's proper place, so I left it there. Now I was spotting almost everyday, and I went back to the doctor to figure out why. He thinks my string was irritating it. I think my last pap smear trigger the spotting/string irritation. My doctor thought he would have to do a surgery to remove it, because he had trouble finding it as well. BUT he did found it, and removed it safely and I haven't spotted since.

Iv been drs it's there with 3cm string! Just can't feel it lol
