on clomid >no Ovolution...pls help

Hi BnB ladies...am on my first cycle of Clomid 50gms (cd2-6)..today is cd15 and I still have not ovoluated ( according to the OPKs and also saliva testing)..am jus wondering when I wud coz, I really dont have any Ovolution pains...

my doc prescribed clomid coz I was not Ovo on my own..I guess clomid is not helping me either..as by now I guess I shd have ovoulated as its been 8 days since I had my last tablet and we normally ovoulate within5-10 days...so do I still have a chance..

any of u had this experience still got a BFP?? or atleast did u Ovolute??

hi, I was having this same panic yesterday!

I'm on round one of clomid, 50mg, CD5-10. And hadn't got my +OPK yesterday morning CD17 so thought it wasn't working - but I did get a +OPK last night and this morning!

So maybe just wait a little longer. Do you also chart?

If it doesn't happen I think your doc will up your dosage x x x

Hi hun, just wanted to let you know that I completely understand your frustration at the moment. There is no set protocol with clomid and some girls ovulate late...have read of people ovulating on CD 20/21. Saying that there is a chance that 50 mg isn't working for you and in that case you'll be put on 100 mg. The only way of really knowing if you've ovulated are day 21 bloods(or 7 dpo). Are you having these done or being tracked at all? Do you usually have regular cycles??

I have had one clomid cycle on 50mg and one on 100mg. Neither of these made me ovulate so am now taking 150mg My FS said that some people's bodies are more resistant than others.

Really hoping you ovulate within next couple of days

Just to say try not to get too disheartened......I took Clomid 50mg for the first time last year due to having PCOS and long cycles. I never ovulated until about day 25 but I got a BFP, I know this as I had many a follice tracking scan! Unfortunately it ended in a MMC but still, it worked.

Like the others say, there is no set rule for when you will ovulate on it and my FS says that it can take a couple of cycles of it to make you more regular

I tried clomid for 4 months. My doctor is now prescribing Femara. I did post about this wondering if anyone else has tried it. I was a little leary.....

I have ovulated in the past with no problem. But my cycles have been off the last 3 months and I am 37... so no more waiting!!

I use the ovulation predictor strips and nothing has been happening for the last 3 months with Clomid. I started Femara two days ago and this morning I took a ovulation test just to "see" if anything would show up. The last 3 months I have had no test line whatsoever... morning, noon, or night. This morning... already getting a line! So, hopefully my system is jump starting itself!

I was just nervous about the Femara after reading that it is used for breast cancer patients who are post menopausal. But.... I've also read that it does aid fertility.

I ovulated CD15 on my first cycle of Clomid 50mg, CD18 on my second cycle at the same dose, and it looks like I ovulated CD17 this cycle. Since CD17 is the 10th day since my last tablet, I can tell you that I definitely ovulated outside the window they give you.

Charting your temps will tell you a lot, bloodwork on CD21 will also help.

I did not get a positive OPK on my first cycle but definitely ovulated, got a positive on my second cycle at CD16 (ovulation CD18).

You may not ovulate on 50mg, in which case they will just up the dose. Don't give up hope on this cycle just yet, I was worried the first 2 times about ovulating and only this time was I more sure it would happen.

Thank u ladies for all ur posts n sharing ur personal experience.. I feel better now.. It feels good that o still have changes this cycle too.. And even if not I guess as u ladies say I wud if my dosage got increased.. To tell u all this cycle I did not monitor my temp...now I understand I still have chances.. Hope I atleast ovoulate if not a BFP..

hi...i always took my clomid on days 2-6 which was 50mg....i found i would always ovulate 10 days after last pill. if u are not ovulating on 50mg i would suggest asking for the dose to be upped to 100mg maybe? xx

I am also on Clomis but now on 100mg. 50 didn't work for me so my doc uped my dosage. I would check on getting your dosage increased but also like the other ladies have said you might just ovulate late. Has your doc done any ultrasounds to see if your producing follicles?? This is how my doc determined the 50mg wasn't working and this month I had 2 great follicles so hopefully I will get a BFP soon!! TWW!!!! Good luck!

Dear chridangel... My doc didn't mention about any ultrasound to check follicles...so I don't know if I got them after takin clomid.. All he mentioned was about the bloodwork on cd21 to chk progestrone levels... As other ladies mentioned might be I Ovl late.... Coz normally without takun clomid I normally ovoulate between cd18-20....am jus keepin my fingers crossed ... Thanks dear

Dear lisaf... Am getting watery CM but am not sure if it's the CM or the conceive plus gel that I use for BDing that's comin out... Coz this is the first month we r using the gel n never in previous months I have noticed my CM to be so watery... I guess it's coz of the gel.. Or cud it be clomid coz this my first month on clomid too.... My opks keep comin back as negative... This is really frustrating... But I will chk later today n see how it goes.. Today is cd17 for me.. So it's 10 days from the last clomid pull that I took.. Hopefully iam expecting +opk today... Will keep u posted dear.... Thanks for ur wishes n prayers....
