On the ttc board but have a question!

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone on this board has ever gotten pregnant in the first month coming off of birth control. I stopped taking my pill around July 20th and have been actively ttc since my "withdrawl bleeding". Just could use some encouragement is all! I have been experiencing cramping on the right side around my hip (kind of a tug feeling comes and goes) and slightly sore right bb, kind of dizzy too which strikes me as kind of odd..I don't know, don't want to get my hopes up just looking for some advice or opinion

hi im afraid what your feeling sounds like ure body settling down from the pill hun i remember coming off it and feeling like i was pregnant sore bbs sick tummy ache blah blah but i was,nt pregnant it was just to do with stopping the pill. im not saying ure defently not pregnant because i got pregnant twice strait after stopping pill but unfortuntly ended in eary misscarages the thing is with the pill it messes with ovulation when ure taking it and also stops the utrus from having that thick tisue it need to make a baby stick. thats why they always recomend havin at least 2 normal periods before ttc. but its hard to wait i know. have u done a test hun??

Thank you for replying! I did take a test way too early though. It just sucks because you do hear of women such as yourself who come off of the pill and get pregnant within the first few weeks, but how do you know when to test or if to test if you don't have a period after stopping the pill or if you're irregular? I've been thinking about it a lot lately as I haven't taken any ovulation tests just kind of winging in hopes it will happen. But what striked me as odd is after I had my "period" two days after stopping the pill I felt fine no cramping or anything until now 3-4 weeks later I have slight cramps and dull lower backache. I guess at this point I'm hoping it could be a pregnancy but at the same time I wouldn't mind having AF show her ugly self so I can at least have reassurance my body is regulating normally again. Oh I should mention DB and I have been BD'ING every day since I came off the pill...I'm clueless as to why I've been "in the mood" A LOT

its a tricky one hun i wud just go get some of those really cheap strip test u can get from asda pharmicy there only about £1.50 and you get 3 in the pack if ure period was 4 weeks ago ure prob due on anytime now so u prob cud test now but if it was 3 weeks ago i wud hold off a few more days then test remember even a faint line is a positive the only thing wit those tests is u can get horrible evap lines that look like bfps very very faint like a shadow. a positive will always have colour an evap is grey like a shadow good luck hun know its hard took us 6 months ttc hope this helps x

Babydance, do you know if you're friend was experiencing any symptoms that made her think she was pregnant? I made a new post about this exact question..I'm confused as to if I should even test or not as I haven't had a "real" period since coming off in July. I did have my normal withdrawal bleed and have been ttc ever since.

she felt very nausious, very tired, grumpy, sore boobies, so yeah she had a few pregnancy symptoms. Id def do a test if i were you hun just wait say 35 days from your last "period"

Thanks!! I know, I'm hoping it doesn't take too long for my body to regulate back to normal..or that I get my BFP! Thanks for the advice and sharing your story about your friend, I am experiencing all symptoms minus sore bb's. I never had sore bb's with my daughter though until I was further along in my pregnancy, so who knows? Hopefully be back around here soon thanks again xxx

I had a couisn that came off of pill and she got preggers that same month. It was werid to cause she did not know and she found out the day before she got married. I told her that her hunny moon was of no point HAHA. She told her husband at the recp. dinner by writing it on ther wedding cake.

AWWW! That's so sweet . What made your cousin do a test or what made her think she was? I'm having a problem with not knowing when to test or if because I don't even know if I'm ovulating yet. I came off of it almost a month ago and had my withdrawal bleed so I'm thinking if I don't have my real period by the 24th I might test...Idk though, really don't want to be let down and I am the type that will easily

my sister in law came off of bcp after 11 YEARS, and got pregnant like the day she stopped taking them lol
It can happen, I have an 8 month old nephew now : )
