Once or Twice a day?

This is our first cycle using OPKS. Do you ladies test just once or twice a day? I tested yesterday, with basically no line. Today I tested with a pretty good visible line, obviously not positive because its not as dark as the control line. Once you get a nice line, do you test twice a day? Thank you!!
