One Born Every Minute is back

That guy is annoying me. Coming down, down, down, down down. UP UP UP.

She looks like she will kill him and eat him with the placenta.

:brat: I WANNA BE PREGNANT AGAIN :brat:
I'm so broody & got to wait till december boooooo

I wanted a water birth but after about 24 hours of contractions I just begged for an epidural lol x
My sister had one & she said everything has to be perfect!! as in you cant have one if you have high blood pressure etc

a running commentary of the pain im going through would not be appreciated!

she did so well, surely thats how most births should be - without all the drama and screaming. did she use any pain meds?

think she only had gas and air..you cant have anything else when your in a pool can you? maybe pethidine im not sure

she put me to shame..i didnt scream or make any noises but i had any drug going! I definately want a birth like that if i have another one

I had to get out the pool to have the pethadine jab in my leg..

ur not supposed to get back in.. (incase you collapse) but I told midwife early on that I WOULD be getting back in it! I paid over £100 for that pool.. and unless the baby was at risk then I would be giving birth IN IT.
She didnt argue with a lady in labour! haha. I had to wait 20 mins though..

How good is pethadine??
My saviour ;)
Often wondered about the home birthing, did you hire a private midwife?

Just watching it on my own and using my imagination too much once again!!!!

I think if I dont get pregnant soon I will end locked up in some mental institute!!!

My iron levels were 0.4 out of what they considered 'PERFECT LOW RISK PREGNANCY'

They tried to stop me having it.. all midwives said in reality I will be fine.. but the doctors at the hospital do not like home or water births..
Oh they hated me. I stood firm and got what I wanted.. understanding *that* if anything went wrong I couldnt blame them??? But why would i???

Ambulance on standby outside my house anyways! And all was fine.. I gave birth and the iron levels were still lower than they recommended.. but I was fine!

Soemtimes I think they overreact just covering themselves cos they dont wanna be sued.

I'm jealous. I hope I get a water birth this time.

Water birthing looks amazing! It's seems so calm :)
Can you opt for one?

Yep and you can have a guaranteed pool if you opt for a homebirth. :D

I cannot quite believe that MW just said outright there are no risks to baby from an epidural. Except for all the research showing a link with problems BFing; except for the increased risk of an assisted delivery which in it's own right has quite a lot of risk to baby. :growlmad:

OMG this program makes me broody!! I would do it all again tomorrow LOL

"Have you got make-up on?"
"No."
"It's just you look beautiful, like you've glitter on your eyes"

no, pethadine didnt do much to be honest.. I could have coped without it.
Just made me feel a bit extra relaxed and weak for a little while.. at one point I couldnt stand back up to get in the pool.. but after 20mins it wore off.

midwife was on duty NHS one from the local hospital.. came out to me at 2am.. and stayed with me til I had Mylo in the pool at 11am. Even though she was due to knock off duty at 9am... she decided to stay on as she knew it would be anytime soon.. but at 9am another midwife came to relieve the original.. so I had TWO midwives undivided attention in my lounge at mylos birth.. running round, getting me drinks, topping up pool.. it was great!:happydance:

Original MW said she would put in TWO hours OVERTIME on her card.. lol
cos I was really worried, saying please go you aint getting paid to be here now. lol
