Is it a contraction if your stomach tightens up but it doesn't hurt, it just feels uncomfortable?

Also, how can you tell the difference between Braxton Hicks contractions and real contractions?

Braxton Hicks are when your stomach tightens up and just feels kinda uncomfortable.

Braxton Hicks are tummy tightenings and feel uncomfortable. You'll know about it when you feel a real contraction :)

real contractions come and go in sets and don't go away when you lie down or stop after a certain amount of time and usually become painful,

braxton hicks are usually painless but some people myself included do feel some pain, these are one off and go away soon

hope that helps :flower:

braxton hicks come with no pattern and real contractions come in a pattern..

so what ive been told.. ive only experianced braxton hicks a few times.. but they wernt very strong or painful.. my mw said that you can get them as early as 6 weeks but you probably wont feel them till like 16 weeks.. they are just a little uncomfortable.

hope it helps.. :flow:
