Hi, I could post in the Csection forum but I was hoping I would get a little more input here since there are obviously 2...

So A is head down and has been for the last 3 scans I have them every 2 weeks. Baby B hasnt budged since day 1 she is transverse at the very top of my uterus and already stuck in my rib cage and feels like a boxing match 1/2 the time with her.

Since I am only 20 weeks has anyone had the babies forming a T in their abdomen actually turn correctly for a vaginal delivery? I have 2 prior children that were natural births so a Csection is worrying me.

If I have to then I will opt for a CS but if there is a good % chance B will turn then I will attempt VB.. Worried about delivering one and having to then rush into an EMCS.

Sorry for the book.

Sorry, don't have any experience but wanted to say that over here it is standard procedure to try vb as long as twin A is head down. They said to me that twin b usually turns automatically when A is going out. Otherwise they'd help along.
Obviously I didn't get that far and had to have an emsec.

xx

My twin B was transverse at the top of my uterus for most of my pregnancy. He turned head down at 31-32 weeks. Unfortunately, he flipped to breech position and I ended up with a section. It is totally possible for yours to flip to head down position.

Ty! FX

I wouldnt want to go through the pain of a vb recovery and a cs recovery

My babies have been in every position possible was transfer at the beginning now then both went head down then one breech other head down then at my 29 week scan they both decided to be breech again both heads under my ribs. So needless to say they have pleanty of time to switch around again. Good luck

A is head down and B is breech- has been for a while. My dr will try a VD if I want, but we had a long discussion of risks and benefits. I have had two miscarriages and I've waited a long time for these two, so as much as I would like to deliver vaginally, I'd rather go for a planned csection and have a controlled environment. That's just my choice, but if they were both head down I'd try vaginally. My OB happens to be a friend so he was very honest with me during our discussion and said if it was his wife in our situation he'd recommend the same.

My OB would have done vaginal if A was head down. She didn't care what position B was in. Unfortunately my A was stubborn.

Want-that is my exact thought. So many people say well you should try vaginally. I say no for two reasons one I worked sooooo terribly hard for these babies want it in a controlled environment. And two I don't want to deliver one vaginally then something happen and have to do an EMC. I do want to experience both vaginally and c section in one birth lol.

Hi,
At my last scan twin A is breech and twin b is transverse but forming a cross as he is behind the girl. My consultant thinks it is still very possible (at 29 weeks) that one or both of them will turn. Yours still have quite a bit of room to move so fingers crossed you won't need to worry. I've kind of resigned myself to thinking that I'm going to try not to worry too much as we have no idea what will happen. As long as 1 twin is head down they aren't worried about the other one as they are likely to turn and head out the right way because they suddenly have so much room to swim! I know it's hard, but try not to worry too much xxx

My twins are in a t twin a is head down and b is chilling up top

had to ask my grandma as my aunties are twins and she delivered vaginally! my aunties were one head down and another breech but the breech one immediately turned after the 1st one was delivered, so yeah.. my grandma did an awesome job at age of 35 (which back in the '60 was seen like having a baby at 55 now!)!

Just had recent scan and twin B is now transverse lol jeez they just keep moving :-)

Its a rollercoaster for sure! Well I tend to have scans every 2 weeks and they are keeping them up so we shall see if they budge. They havent moved at all so far. They dont expect me to go much past 34 weeks they are saying now so either way probably going to end up with a Csection

At my 29 week scan I had 2 breech boys and today at 32 I have one head down and the other is still breech so I suppose if one was able to flip all the way round yours could flip 90 degrees to move head down.
One thing i know is they do some absolute unbelievable movements in there. I never have a clue how there led!!

Oh that's good news! Are you attempting vb if one is head down?
