I've had a lot of scans because I have hyperthyroidism and at each one baby has been breech. In the last six weeks I've felt all movements in my bum, pubic area and cervix and scans have shown that baby is sitting on my cervix with head up by my ribs and feet up in front of it's face. I know there's time for baby to move, but what are the chances if he/she hasn't moved at all from breech so far? I'm concerned about a c section and I really feel that I'll end up having one. I also have a two lobe placenta, so that doesn't give much hope for a natural birth either.

Pixie was breech at every scan (I've had a fair few too heh) up until 28 weeks - at that scan, she'd turned!

Thank you, fingers crossed this baby will turn too, by the way I think Pixie is a beautiful name choice :)

I am sure that there is still lots of time for baby to roll around and get into a different position.

Still tonnes of time for getting into position. All my kicks are low down so guessing mine is breach but it's still early and no need to worry :)

mine was breech up until 28 weeks, was breech at 27 week scan and then 5 days later was head down, now e is 3/5ths engaged

My lo was breech until 35 + 3 days and several other ladies in 3rd tri didn't have their babies turn until right before birth so it's a toss up (no pun intended lol) until the last stretch for a lot of women. Another woman I know in my FB group is still breech at 37 weeks and they did schedule a c-section but have told her there's still a good chance her baby could turn and if it does she'll have options. Good luck:thumbup:

I was concerned about my boy being breech at 30 weeks and the doc laughed it off and said most babies are breech still at that gestation. He had turned by 33 weeks

Agreed, it's really not much to worry about until a bit further on xx
Chin-up xx

My dd2 flipped from breech to head down every week from 35-40wks. My midwife found it funny because I was forever going for scans to check etc. at my due date, she was breech and a scan confirmed. Was booked in for a section at 40+4 but at my midwife appointment at 40+3, she thought she had turned and a scan showed that she was indeed head down so section was cancelled!
You still have loooooads of time for baby to turn, and they probably will a good few times, so try not to worry.

My dd was an absolute monkey in the womb, and is still a very active and mischievous little thing!

My last daughter was breech till 38 weeks then she turned and sent me into labour xx

Ds was all sorts of ways around right to 36 or 38 weeks.
You can look up some positions to encourage baby to turn, and sitting on a birthing ball can really help.
Ds turned during an aquanatal class, once he had I tried deep squats to encourage him to engage so he didn't move back. Xx

My first baby was breech up until about 35 weeks and then she turned, at first she went transverse, then back to breech, then transverse, breech and finally head down :haha: I honestly didn't think she was going to.

My DD was breech at 24 weeks and was head down by 28 weeks - and didnt revert back. I think there's still plenty of time for baby to move.

My baby has also been breech pretty much since the beginning. They started pointing it out at 16 weeks I'm 23 weeks now and this is one of my biggest concerns. I read online that swimming helps because baby has less resistance and doesn't know up from down so I went swimming yesterday and I was worried because I was feeling a hard lump towards my left side and then all the sudden it went away and now today I'm getting harder kicks up high and light kicks/punches down low so I think baby turned. I have another scan on Wednesday so I'm really excited to see if what I think happened has actually happened.

Doc says baby can freely move until until 26 weeks and with some resistance up to 36 weeks so I really shouldn't worry until 36 weeks but I am glad to hear stories of babies turning even later.

Thank you all for your stories and suggestions, it's very reassuring. I'll definitely be trying swimming and different positions. H and h 9 months to you all xx

My baby is also breech and back to back lol, couldn't be in a worse position. But nice to know there's plenty of time for him to turn :) fingers crossed ay. I have an anterior placenta and did read that it could be more likely have to have breech or back to back position due to the location of the placenta, apparently babies to like to face the placenta. I guess we shall see. I may try swimming though, been meaning to take my daughter anyways

It sounds like there's still plenty of time for baby to turn so sending you lots of 'rolling' vibes. :D

Just wanted to give you guys an update I had a scan today and baby did turn head down so I think the swimming did the trick just as I suspected.

Now just hoping she stays head down. Lol

I wouldn't worry at all hun, she has loads of time to go breech again and back again lol.

My growth scan today showed baby in a crouching position breech ha ha x
