I went to a parent and child swimming class this morning with my sister, and I recognised someone that I know enough to say hello to. She was there with her little girl who was the same sort of size and stage as Kaya is - just starting to sit up etc. So I asked her how old her wee one is, she's 5 and a half months. I felt strangely embarrassed and changed the subject but she asked me Kaya's age. When I told her Kaya's 3 months she looked all shocked, muttered something about really good head control and made herself scarce. I think I might have inadvertently upset her.

Similar things have happened to lots of people I know. Every baby develops differently so don't feel bad. I'm sure she understands that.
