Anybody involved with this? I havent done one since school and it was called the shoe box appeal back then. I think its really good, although some of the children on the pictures receiving the boxes overseas look alot better off than some of the children ive seen in were I live. Ive spend £15 on my box, for a girl aged 2-4, I thought if I can spend over £1000 on Lilly for christmas then I can spare £15 for a child who hasnt got anything.

If anybody else does this id love to see pics of your shoe boxes :) x

u spent 1000 on xmas! wow u can shop ! lol :) dont think i will be far behind if i carry on :/ this is great thank you! i have thought about this for a few years! but didn't know how to do it, i used to do the show box thing aswell when i was younger :) x

Yea lol I started very early, and have just been putting everything in the wardrobes, got it out in august and shocked myself lol! Apparently you can put a picture in and your address too, dont know if they write back or anything x

no i don't think they would be able to, but it is a lovely idea! im so glad you posted this :) i enjoyed doing it when i was at school! when i have made one... (prob wont be till next week) i will post a picture :)

I do this every year, its run through my sons school as you say you easily spend 1000's on your lo's its a suprise hom such a small amount of money can make a lo's christmas.

were doing one this year to i used to love doing it when i was at school x

I do this every year through my church :) We usually drop the boxes off at the Mission Center in the city, but I've seen from the website that there's a drop off point just a few minutes from my house, so I might suggest that instead this year. Saves everyone negotiating the traffic!

We are doing this at work so think I will do one for the first time this year.

I havent done this since I was younger but def going to do one this year from me & Seth

Only takes a few moments to make a childs christmas special.

x

I did this when I was in school and totally forgot about it. Will definitely do it this year! excited to fill up a few boxes

i help my sister fill up hers
she does it through her school too

haven't done this since school, definitely going to do a couple this year :) x

We have done 2 through my sons school. One boy and one girl. We spent about 8 on each box, my kids love them x

Just dropped off my boxes this morning. Such a good cause and its great fun for the kids to be involved with too. My 10 yo said today if a kid in the UK got a shoebox for christmas they would be mad but look how excited the picture of this kid is. I thought it was a really good lesson for him x

like most of you not done it since school - 1 of the 1s i did wrote me a thank you letter and we actually stayed in touch as penpals for about 3years. then the letters suddenly stopped.

IF OH is back at work we will be doing 1 but at the moment we havent got all our own kids gifts or enough money to pay the bills due to him only getting ssp (at -£150 pwe week from norml wages!)

I am going to do two. One for a girl and one for a boy as I couldn't pick which to do :)

After seeing this earlier on today I went out and bought a bunch of things to make my box up. I'm going to nip down to primark or something and get some hair clips and I'm going to knit a hat and gloves and some finger puppets to go in too :)
I cried at that video on the website. I couldn't not send something now!

Must get on & do mine - got the shoebox & the leaflet just need to buy the stuff now!

Think I might do one with my boys this year :). Thanks for the link.
