Ooh I saw a Fergus in The Times (I check out the name announcements for posh name porn) and thought what a great name it is! Love that. Jude I like, and Hamish is lovely but very very Scottish. Have you considered Angus? Has a similar vibe.

I think Hamish and Fergus are a bit more regional? I can't say I've met or heard of any over on this side of the pond. So they would take a while to grow on me, I think, but I could see myself liking either.

I love Angus but we had a guinea pig named Angus and now I feel wrong using it . I also fel weird using Fergus because Ted has a Fergus in his class and his little brother is named Ned, so I feel like them having Fergus and Ned and us having Fergus and Ted, would be a bit stalkerish!
DH is keen on having a Scottish name for this LO but most of the names he has suggested sound like men who would stab you

A scottish name I liked if Evie was a boy was Campbell, also like Murray and Cullen. Not sure if they are similar to your other names though

I like Hamish and Jude but understand why you're hesitant about Hamish. Oran is quite a nice boys name, quite Celtic but not very common.
I have 1 d's whose name is Theodore, if I'd had another I'd have called him Hector. Violet is also one of our family names and would have been my first choice for a girl.
