MUCH DARKER in person!

whats made u do an opk at ...dpo ?just outta cusiouslty ? maybe ur only just O now??!!

who knows?

They are normally stark white when I am not ovulating.

You can use an OPK as an HPT buts its not reliable, well not recommended.

I did it for a giggle, what happened to being supportive?

Sorry if my post seemed unsupportive hun , The reason i asked ... Was iam rubbish never used opks in my life , I didnt want to sound stupid by suggesting you may be pregnant so asked weather its normal to get positives passed ovulation . Good luck .

Oh I'm not mad. I just didn't get it.

Supposedly you can look at a positive OPK AFTER ovulation as a positive HPT. BUT you have still have to take an HPT to verify the results.

Look at it this way.

OPK needs one hormone that is SIMILAR to the one needed for HPT. The hormone needed for OPKS (LH) we can call the Alpha and the one for HPT (HGC + LH) we can call Beta (LOL).

Alpha shows up faster than beta and sticks around longer. Beta is basically Alpha but is missing one part so Beta takes a little longer to show up.

Does that help?

Both hormones are identical except for the missing part for HPT.

I have never had an OPK stay positive after O. I have 4 positives now. I used these the last time and when they looked like this my Dr told me they were positive.

Hmm...the only one that looks positive to me is the 6pm one, and even that is a little questionable. Stilll, do you think it's possible that you never actually ovulated the first time that you thought you did? Do you have a link to your chart?

In any case, I hope your BFP is on its way! Best wishes!

I can't chart, I tried. My normal body temperature fluctuates too much during the day. I'm going by what my Dr tells me and CP CM. Last time I used these, my Dr told me they were positive because the others from the month only had the control line.

I see what you mean. So it's positive for you, because you have weak LH surges, maybe? Hopefully this is a good sign for you! :D

BTW, just curious...why would it matter if your body temp fluctuates throughout the day when you're supposed to temp at the same time every day before getting out of bed?

Because I can run any where from 96.7 to 99.1 any given morning. I temped for several months before the Dr told me to quit, it's not helping. My temp changes that much.

Right now my uterus is achy. Feels like I had a baby already. It's not cramps, it's sore.

Negative OPKs from last cycle

I've tested with OPK's all the way through my cycle (& still am just in case) good job I did or I'd have missed my second/proper surge!! :) xx

I'm going to try and get DH in the morning if I'm not aching so bad.

O this late in my cycle?!?! AF is due on the 12th.

I hope this is a sign of a bfp for you :) .
I understand a little more about opks now kind of lol , I thought a couple of the tests you showed were as dark as the controll line , But like i said i dont know if that means anything coz i know nothing lol .
Super good luck , Test with a hpt in a few days hun ,Then of course update us lol . xxxx .

Wow his will be interesting if you are pregnant! :D Looks pretty hopeful to me
