+opk and EWCM don't add up!

Hi!

I got a +OPK on cd11, asuming then that I would O around CD12 or 13. I've felt a bit of cramping to think it may have happened around then but I had really sticky CM on the day I got my +OPK and then only cramy stuff for a couple of days later. I'm now on CD14 and on;y just starting to see EWCM! Confused!!!!!

Does anyone have any insight on what might be going on? Thanks x

I had the same thing. I got a smiley (positive opk) on cycle day 7, my cm was sticky, the another positive cycle day 8, with still sticky cm. day 9 through now no positives and still sticky cm. What. the. heck.

I've been doing a bit of reading and found out that the opks are more likely right than the cm.... there are so many people that struggle with checking cm! Which is rubbish as it's the easiest/quickest/cheapest way lol!

k somebody, can I get an opinion???? Speaking of things not matching up... I got a smiley today... which is weird because i had smileys the 5th and 6th, and then no smileys from the 7th on... until today... another smiley, and one spot of pinkish brown blood.... according to fertility friend I'm 3 days past ovulation with my basal temps being what they are, but why would i get a smiley today then? and whats up with the blood spot???? can anyone suggest what the heck might be going on?

NOTE: I did a pregnancy test two days ago, it was negative.

If you go on Fertility Friend's website and look at the chart gallery you will see a lot of people get two positive results readings on OPK tests, I think it's quite common to get one early and then another one later.

Something important to note, OPK tests do not say that you ovulated. They say you had a LH surge. The only for sure way to know you ovulated is by tracking your temps or with the help of a doctor.

Also you can get a LH surge and then have a stressful day or get sick or something like that and then your body might decide out of safety for the egg to wait and try again and so you can get two LH surges because of that too.

I think CD14 as well unless your temp was somehow not right on CD14 or if you're a slow riser after ovulation. At the very earliest CD13.

Did you get another positive OPK later in your cycle?

they say I ovulated on the 11th, which is cycle day 14... But yes, jessthemess, I got another positive opk on December 14th, which was cycle day 17. So I've been scared to trust fertilityfriend. I hope they are right about the 11th, because my BD around that date would give me a good chance of getting a BFP. But if I did indeed ovulated around cycle day 17... I'm screwed. because I baby danced on the 15th of december and the 20th, and I got that positive was on the 17th. So i don't know. I hope the 11th was right, I hope!!!!!!

I feel exactly the same! I haven't been TTC long so currently I'm disappointed but not really really upset yet when I get a BFN because I'm still in the, "it'll happen soon" is believable stage.

I dont always have regular cycles either and they are also very long, 42 to 45 days.

I just want to know that I am ovulating this month. If I get a BFP, awesome! But really I'd just be happy with a nice dark OPK!

ya i know. I have been trying since my miscarriage in July. after I lost the baby (naturally) I didn't get a period til October 8th. Then I got my next period November 28th, it was over by the 3-4 of December. I got three positive opk's this month so I hope I ovulated, I hope I hope!!! And I hope I had sex close enough to ovulation day. its been 5 months since the miscarriage, I just want another shot at pregnancy. Nothing, absolutely nothing, feels better than holding a sweet googly eyed baby in your arms, and the bond that happens between everyone thats there during the birth, its a beautiful feeling.

I named it that because my cycle started in November. November 29th and ended December 3rd. This is my first month charting but I think it will help me in the future to be able to go back and see when my cycles were by the month they started in. I really only have about 8 a year. Eeep.

8 periods? thats not bad. I usually only get 2 a year...I never had a period in 09, 2 in 2010.
