Hi Girls,

So i temp every month and try to OPK on the right days. I have a on average 33 days cycle. I usually ovulate between day 17-20.

I am currently CD17 and have pains kinds like AF but not as strong so i think this may be ovulation pains.

When i do OPK they never seem to get as dark as the control line.

This is from a previous month:

These are from today: Left = this morning and right = about 6pm.

sorry there is only two, i did tests every day since wednesday but there was barely a line so i threw them.

Would you count this as positive if you was me?
Im going to BD tonight anyway if i can.

Anyone else had this problem? I've always been led to believe its only positive if its darker than the control line but ive never had that but i do get temp rises.

Thanks,

both lines look like the same shade so I'd say yes. I don't think they have to be super dark as long as they are the same (correct me someone if I'm wrong...)

Ah thanks, It is confusing isnt it. everyone says it should be darker but my temps do rise after the opks so they must be right, maybe its just the tests (internet cheapies)

Thanks for replying.

They're super confusing. I've found that (1) batch to batch opks seem to vary a lot. i'm only on month 3, have gone through 4 sets because I test compulsively - at lease 1 batch I never seemed to REALLY get a positive (even though temperature confirmed I ovulated and at least 1 batch there was ALWAYS a second (lighter) line and (2) I REALLY have a hard time not having urine too dilute...I pretty much had to do the 4 hours without drinking...

Ahh SNAP! At least i'm not alone then. :winkwink:

This was my first cycle using OPK. I'm on CD15 (last cycle I ovulated on CD15). FF said I ovulated on CD12 but I didn't get a positive OPK. I'm using the internet cheapies so I guess I'll keep testing for a few days.
