OPK Sticks and PCOS

i have been doing allot of OPK sticks over the past few months, always at the same time of the day and the line is always very dark, not quite as dark as the control line to give a positive reading but still very dark. With PCOS LH levels can be 3 times the FSH level which mine was in December it showed as 15 and FSH 5.. Well today's test came back with a line that is so faint it is barely there. Do you think this could mean that my LH levels are dropping?. As you can see on my journal i have been having acupuncture and chinese herbs to try and correct the hormone imbalance..

Hiya, yes I suppose it could be - hope that does the trick!!

I have PCOS and often get lines, but they vary in darkness, but my positive this weekend was much darker than the usual lines I get, and darker than the test line.

I have PCOS an I used to do OPK tests everyday for months... But as my LH level is higher than normal (like you), it gets as dark or almost as dark as the other line for days, or week, but doesn't mean anything.
With OPK, we can't really rely on these sticks to predict ovulation. It just doesn't work for most of us.
Personally, i'm glad i'm followed by the assisted conception unit now. I don't have to worry about these sticks and flat basal temperature charts anymore...
