OPKs as Pregnancy Tests

Ok, so this is my first cycle using opks. OH bought me the first resposne digital OPK that said to start testing on CD 5. I followed all the instructions and today is CD 23 an still haven't gotten a positive.

I was also BBTing every morning and charting on FF. 7 days ago my O was detected and my chart shows that I am 7 DPO.

My question is....if I were pregnant now, shouldn't I get a positive opk too? Google has made me very insecure.

It would be very unlikey to get a positive opk at 7DPO, More around 12DPO. x

How did that cycle go? x

Not everyone gets a positive OPK before a positve HPT , with my last BFP the OPK was not positive so I dont think they are a good indication of pregnancy. I use them for ovulation only.

At 7 dpo it's likely that neither one would be positive. Your hpt (especially a FRER) would be positive first. When I got my bfp (chemical mc), my opks were actually lighter than usual at 7 dpo so no worries!

Thanks Girls.... Not putting much hope into my cycles now...Maybe come Summer. OH has started back at his job, plus a second job so I am guessing he's going to be very tired most days. Good luck yo you guys though
