OPK's progressively got darker, now getting lighter, never positive

I have been taking OPK's and about 4 days ago they started getting darker. Yesterday morning was the darkest, but still not positive. I tested in the afternoon but only held in my urine for an hour (it was a hot day and I was drinking lots of water). This morning I thought it would be darker still but it was lighter. I'm wondering if I missed my surge because of the diluted urine, or was it a false surge and still coming? We have been every other night so I'm not worried about missing a chance, just curious. I do temp so I guess if my temp goes up tomorrow I will know I ovulated, but am obsessing about it now so thought I would ask to see what others have experienced

I should also mention I had an early miscarriage at 6 weeks a couple weeks ago, so am wondering if that is screwing up my cycle. I am on CD17 today (I ovulate anywhere from CD 16-19 usually).

So my temperature went up yesterday, so I think I ovulated two days ago, but never did get my positive OPK despite testing 2-3 times per day. Not sure why that would happen, did I just miss the surge?

I've had that happen on several occasions.. I drink a lot of water so I think it is just to diluted. I get almost positive but not quite then it fades.

i'm in the same situation now. i've been testing since cd 9. the past 2 cycles i got a smiley on cds 11 and 12. i tested 3 times cd12, no surge. i tested morning of cd13(today) no surge. i usually ovulate cd 13-14, so i'm guessing i missed my surge. i'll wait if my temps go up the following days.

I only had one positive last month so I'm guessing I either have a short surge, or just drink too much water! No way I could ever hold my pee for 4 hours during the day lol. I'm just glad I temp too or I would have no idea what is going on!
