OT but sooooooo nervous!!

Sorry ladies, I just had to post....!!
I've put this in the Doula thread too, but had to hear your thoughts too girlies

I am currently 'on call' for my first ever birth attendances as a Doula!!
I am so excited, but nervous too.
They are both friends, and for one I may end up just driving her to hospital. She's due on the 30th July.

The other one is for a home water birth. She is due on the 13th.

I feel like I an going to burst with anticipation!!

I am worried about George, but Vici is going to have him. I feel comfortable with that, as she knows George & I trust her completely.
Also, they won't be far away, so if he won't settle, I'll be quite close by.

Gawd, feel like I won't sleep a wink in case I miss the call!! Gaahhh!!

oh wow how exciting!!! ive never known anyone to use one (or be one!) before, so should be interesting are you allowed to post a mini-birth story (nothing detailed obv) so its like...from the other end iykwim? (excuse the pun )i've always wondered what a Doula (or a midwife i guess) take on things would be

That IS exciting!!! You'l probably never forget your first birth...my mums a midwife and got a twin delivery for her 1st ever birth as a student!

That sounds fab. However, the lady due on the 13th should have her baby on the 12th, all the best babies are born that day (It's my birthday on Monday ) xx
