This is terrible. I don't know if any of you ladies have experienced this but I am having the most awful leg cramps while I sleep. It's just in my calves and it's... Bleh. 2 nights ago I woke up because my left calf was cramping and I started bawling because it wouldn't stop. And now it hurts so bad I'm limping around. So, anything I can do to try and make this more bearable?

ive started getting this. it's only when i stretch my legs out i've found, so i must stretch in my sleep, and wake up in agony. it's SO sore, but supposedly common in pregnancy xx

It's awful, isn't it? I have to leap up and stand straight but it takes at least 5 minutes to go away! :(

It sounds like SPD I had it from about 34 weeks and it was horrible, so many times I even had to get FOB to undress me because it hurt so much I couldn't move.

It goes as soon as the baby is born though :D

xx

i have got this since about 7 weeks, in bed, sometimes when i am walking... actually getting it now as i am sitting on the sofa... lol!
its real uncomfortable... i near fell down the stairs one evening cos it came like a sharp pain... but MW says its to be expected.
the joys of pregnancy xx

Split Pelvis disorder, its from the way baby lies or something lol

xx

do you feel it coming on?! Or do you wake when its full blown agony?!

If you wake up when its just coming on, straighten your leg, and bend your toes towards you, it stretches the muscle the opposite way to the spasm in your leg and sometimes help relieve it. Never point your toes away from you though, as you will just help the muscle spasm and it will be even more painful.

Another one which is good, if you have laminate or tiling in your room or a close room, stand with your foot flat on it(i know it hurts and its hard when your hobbling around), I always find cold surfaces help. I used to put my foot up against the wall!!

Try massaging your calves for 5 mins before you go to bed, this helps relax the muscle :) and also hot bath before bed or hot water bottle.

I know the pain hun, i HATE cramp!! But I used to suffer with it badly before I got pregnant, I was even prescribed drugs for it! But I found these few things helped. x

what to expec twhen your expecting suggest doing leg stretches before bed for ths.
thats all i know xP

Ouch yes I feel your pain! It's awful and I've ended up limping around many times! it's got better at the moment.. But so far I think I'm in good practise for the sleepless night :haha:xx

i JUST woke up with this this morning. Bloody horrible. I was half asleep and was like WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING!!!! i thought i was dying...i literally couldn't move my leg for the pain. It went two minutes later and i fell straight back asleep and forgot about it!

Pull your toes up towards your body. Like point them towards you. It absolutely kills but it makes it go away. I've had to get OH to push them for me at times though cause you literally can't move. It's not nice is it? :haha:

i get this too:(i hate it!
specially because i sleep in the inside of the bed (like against the wall and fob sleeps on the outside)
so when i get it in the middle of the night i cant jump straight out,i gotta jump over him and it takes me ages lol x

This happens to me too! A guy I work with plays loads of football and has lots of experience with leg cramps apparently  He told me that when it happens to lie on your back and move your legs like your are pedelling a bike!

It sounds weird but it has worked every time I have done it and the pain is stopped much quicker :flower:

I got this really bad when I was pregnant with my little girl.. hoping it won't be so full on this time around, but who knows!! It was agony... actually I did get it yesterday when I knelt down to change my girl's nappy, just above my knee in my thigh at the back. It still aches :( Think it might continue through this pregnancy lol, ahhh well eh!

xoxox

Argh it happened again this morning. I was actually dreaming i had super powers in my feet so i had to go see this woman who would tell me what it was. She told me i didn't have any superpowers, even though my feet were really hurting and i could see them glowing red and orange. Then i woke up with horrible cramp in both legs. Praying it wont happen every morning from now until LO is here! :nope:
