First the lockdown at my kids school yesterday and then we woke up this morning with our vehicle stolen!

My husband woke up early like usual to go into work...I was planning on sleeping in so I was all cozy in bed when my husband comes running back into the house..ran up the stairs to me and says "Baby...our truck is gone!!"

My heart sunk! You just never know how to feel or react in that moment.
We of course always have it locked and it has an alarm on it. Who ever took it were professionals.

here's even more of a kicker too...my husband NEVER leaves any valuables in the SUV..EVER!
Yet yesterday he accidentally left his wallet in the there!

But wait...there's more...

I took out $600 to give him from my bank account to pay for bills. We NEVER carry cash on us! He wasn't able to deposit the money into his other account yesterday like he planned..So all together there was $660 in cash in the wallet that was stolen with the vehicle.

But I'm still not done...

Two days ago, we caught my 6 year old stealing candy bars from my sons chocolate bar fundraiser he's doing for the school. We do not take stealing lightly in our home. We are very big on honesty, trust and respect. As one of her hard lessons, we gathered every last one of her toys up and put them in our vehicle to take out to my husbands work. She was to get them back when she earned them back. We did allow her to keep one thing tho and that was her "Teddy" which is her security bear. Well..I guess you know where I am going with this. It was raining yesterday and my husband didn't have time to unload them so...yup. Every last one of her toys are gone too. I'm so glad she still has her "Teddy" tho!!

We don't live in a slummy area so I just don't get why these things have been happening. Not long after we bought this house last year...someone came in our back yard and stole my sons bike too...now this.

The cop that showed up this morning was so kind tho...he brought a cute teddy bear to give to my daughter to say sorry for her toys being stolen. He felt so bad.that was just so nice of him!

Ha..and that reminds me...we live just a stones throw away from the police station too. Go figure.

Ugh, how horrible! I am sorry that this happened I can't even imagine. What the hell is wrong with people! Makes me sick!

That is just awful! I am so sorry that happened. Maybe when they find it the toys will still be there waiting for her, since that's probably not what they were after. Bless that sweet police officer for bringing her a teddy bear!

Aww darls I'm so sorry to hear that. I really hope they find the thugs who took your car and give them what they deserve!

OMG that sounds terrible! Such bad luck! At least the cop had a nice gesture, but still, sorry to hear that. It's murphy's law. Do things differently once, and that's all it takes for something to go wrong :S

Wow, I am so sorry. Any chance your insurance will cover the cost of some of the items in the car?

That's terrible. I'm so sorry hun. I hope justice can be served.

 That's terrible news! I'm so sorry. :(

I really hope they're able to recover your vehicle. Have you contacted your insurance company?

Thank you everyone. I just really needed to vent about this. I held it together for most of the day while we did a bunch of running around and making a bunch of phone calls. We spent the day trying to get my husbands ID back, cancelling credit cards, getting a rental car, dealing with insurance, etc. when we got home..I just broke down. It hit me so hard.

I'm dealing with it better now but ugh..I just can't believe it. And to top it off...you don't realize how much paying for insurance is such a scam till something like this happens to you. I feel like we not only got robbed from these idiots that took our car and everything in it but then to feel robbed from your insurance company...that you are required to have no less if you want to own a vehicle here. You pay thousands of dollars a year into insurance for times like these and then when it comes time you need help...you get the "sorry, we can't help you"

We will be getting the book value back for our vehicle so that's at least good.

What happened with your insurance?

insurance companies, banks, health insurance, phone companies... they all have something in common with casinos: they are here to make money, and the only way for them to make money is if you lose money...

I'm so sorry that you've had to go through all of these things, especially in such a short time span...I hope that the thieves weren't able to use the credit cards before you cancelled them.

Oh my, what a terrible thing to have happened! Hopefully you get a good settlement from your insurance.

Oh wow when it rains it pours. I hope you get your vehicle back and all of the belongings.

That's awful, I am so sorry :(

My husband is a cop and the stories I hear. People are just disgusting. I hate that we work for things and they get to just take them for free. How they sleep at night astounds me.

You got that right!

I don't know either..especially seeing those children's toys in there..there's too many people in this world with no heart.
